Wouldn't have minded the other perfume you got though! I have to pop into town tomorrow after work, but I doubt there would be any left lol. Well done you:T
As for people who keep harping on about it;s not that big of a discount cause of the 3 for 2 offer and all that rubbish. What have you people got against people like myself feeling happy with their bargains at 1/2 price and more??? It may not be good enough for some of you, but for many of us who don't have as much money as others on here, let us be happy with our bargains and let it be would you please?
Rose if you think you have got bargains at half price, then surely thats all that matters? There have been many folk buying at half price, if you think what you paid at half price was a decent buy, then thats what counts. Not what anyone else thinks.
Personally, because Boots does 342 and mega-points events in the run-up to Christmas, I do see where others are coming from - and technically speaking, if at any time you have bought 3 or more gifts/toys at a time in Boots since Christmas, its not half price because they would have qualified for the 342 beforehand.0 -

Thanks so much for that, I had planned to give it to my niece cos her hair is far easier to curl than mine so think I will do that
It's in a set with a feather hair and, make- up bag and some shimmer powder so would be far better given as a gift rather than me taking the curlers out and burning making a poor job of trying to use them!0 -
Yep 3 for 1 glitch on loads of the christmas bits online before Christmas, if you search hot UK deals it was swarming with them in December. coco was three for £10.00 spa and champagne sets were also three for one including the £40.00 sets meaning £13.33 each.
Interestingly alot of people mention that there was loads on the shelves at stores today, I think Boots may have over ordered on these sets and used the 3-1 glitch to clear the warehouse of some before Christmas and the remainder is selling off today.0 -
what do you think of the Breakfast at Tiffanys perfume, also the Betty Boop???0

Went to Meadowh@ll Sheffield this morning. Got there at 9, opened at 9.30. About 30 people in front me. Quite civilised and friendly but the aisles are too small to move around. About 6 rows of 70% goods. Shortage of baskets and bags again. Many people using their own bags this year. I didn't because I didn't want to be accused of shop lifting (I know it's technically not theft until I leave the store! but didn't feel comfortable).
Got various perfumes/sprays; Beckham, lady Gaga, glee, Bieber, Beyonc!, Barcelona. Got hairy bikers, Jamie Oliver, Laura Ashley stuff, circus kids stuff, cocoa butters and lip balms from the natural collection, just to name a few things. Spent £160 saved £432.
Most are for birthdays, Father's Day, Mother's Day, family celebrations and teacher gifts.
Re the comments and posts regarding families from the Asian community. They are buying quite a lot of the bigger sets so that they can take the deodorants/body washes out and send them back home. Not via post or airmail but by luggage in people flying out to Pakistan. My SIL informs me that Pakistan regards our toiletries as genuine products and they are sought after.0 -
This was my third and I am thinking my last boots 75% off sale.
Found the whole experience really depressing today...:( got a few bits I wanted but was again appaulled by peoples behaviour like many other peoples stories on here and the bargains arent worth people fighting over, ignoring the injured/being racist towards others.
In store I was in, I heard one white couple complain all the asians filling the big mesh baskets full of stuff...was completley untrue. An equal number of whites/asians were using the men 'babysitting' the baskets tactic whilsts the women go back for more. To add insult to injury the white guy in question was guarding 4 or 5 big bags of stuff by his feet whilst his female partner in crime ran off for more)- totally racist, hypocritical and greedy. I was tempted to say something but I didnt think it was worth getting in an argument for.
Another pair of women in my store had about 8 of the big mesh bags between them, blocking aisles and looking at everyone and saying "its for my cousins for next christmas" whilst scooping up 10 of each item. They were doing the standard "you wait here whilst I get 4 of those". Really appauling tactics and quite clearly not for family members/friends/charity/tombola sales. Noone needs 20 fcuk sets.
I would be happy for boots to limit the amount to be sold per customer to £100 as others have suggested but wd be so hard to enforce and they dont care who takes the stuff as long as its gone! Dont think im going to bother next year.
Hope the injured woman recovers okay!0
