I had two different experiences today...
fell asleep at 4.30 and most of my basket was emptied when woke at 6 so went to my local instead getting there for 7.45, lasted all of going up one aisle upstairs due to people barging bags and baskets they couldn't carry, blocking aisle with bags and people with 5/6 sets of minnie straighteners, was nice that two women actually showed care when I waited to go past with my infant in tow so picked up men's Ted baker £3 sets for other half as cheaper than buying his smellies and got some pink hair sets for the girls at lo nursery for next year, decided to go downstairs where it was wiped of anything really of any use, two men with about 15 big blue bags filled with innotabs leap pads and anything big heavily reduced, I managed to pick up some monster high dolls, Vtech dinosaur, jake hook boat and snacking safari spent about 90 in total but got anything really wanted when was 50 percent off x x
Decided to look in solihull boots at lunchtime on way into work, after dropping little ones at nursery totally different atmosphere
, no grabbing, I heard one woman offer another something as she didn't really want it, some big s n g sets left, lots of royal jelly, hat boxes etc, there was 6 Minnie straighteners on the shelf so picked up pair for dd11, also managed to get some lp Disney princess figures at 3.75 each was well happy as got full set except tiana n rapunzel there and the sa was lovely told her I'd been trying to add a lp playset online all morning as it was showing more stock after I missed it at 50 percent off and she went to check if I could order over phone then checked her system and ordered in store for collection for me on her system , need to see online where I can write to to praise her x0 -

I wasn't suggesting you was lying :rotfl:I am laughing at this thread. Some suggesting that some are greedy and that boots perhaps should put a cap on what is allowed to be bought, and then you come and post that you have got 21 bags full. I am easily amusedWell done to those who got what they actually wanted, and for those that didn't, there will always be another boots sale.

Checking the boots website when I needed to get up to use the toilet. 2am and 4 am website still down. Gave up and did not check again until 6.30 am. I have previously put stuffs I wanted in my basket and they were still there in the morning. I was really after the sanctuary travel sets at £3.20. I received email informing of possible cancellation of some items, the only item that was cancelled was Charlie perfume set and I was not really keen on it anyway as it was at 50% instead of 70%. I am quite pleased with what I got and going through quidco, I have another 10% off the items. Thank you very much to the person who posted regarding the online order. I would never have thought of ordering online.0

I managed to get to the Boots in Fareham today around 11am and there was still a reasonable amount left. Lot of toys for toddlers and I managed to pick up two VTECH toys thanks to a lady who pointed me to the ones on sale as she had already purchased some for her grandchildren. Although there were four aisles of toiletries on Saturday, today they were down to sparse stock remaining. Some Sanctuary tins, no Soap and Glory except Girl O Whirl, lot of mens Joules, FCUK and other blokes stuff. Some Ferne, No 17, No7 bronzing kits and FCUK manicure sets. Lots of Royal Jelly, smaller extracts sets and one Remington which I missed online. I have to admit everyone was civilised when I arrived and I have to take my hat off to the sales people who have a lot to contend with. :T:T. Yes there were people sweeping including one person who had someone sat in a white van in the carpark while they were loading in numerous bags but I was pleased to see a number of people pick up a small number of items they wanted for family. I promised myself I wouldn't go this year as previous years have resulted in me being jostled and witnessing rude behaviour to other shoppers and Boots staff. But I am glad I made the effort and would certainly go later than opening time in future as you still get a good choice and there is less jostling. I may not fulfil my wish list for family and friends but they will get something they appreciate and a little more expensive than if we were to shop at non sale prices. I was lucky to get two rituals diffusers which I love and would not normally buy at full price. They may be end of line but non the less still a good addition to my household. I hope you all managed to have a good day and a successful shop as I did? :j0

I did that a few years ago, when I first stumbled across this forum
I came home in a euphoria exclaiming that I felt like a shoplifter I had SOOOOOO MUCH stuff and spent barely nothing !!!!
Some years & 2 house moves later and finally moving on from the shame & reputation of the repeated gifts of toiletries & kids tatt to friends, family, teachers, neighbours .... I gave up and started using the bloody stuff myself in the third house.
I still have have a few bottles from sets I split up & now despise because I'm sick of the scent of that honey stuff !!!

:mad:OK I'm not amused AT ALL. Just got 4 emails, 2 telling me my orders have been partially dispatched, 2 others telling me that some of my items are not available and have been refunded.
Put my order in this morning at 5.15am this morning. The other order was before the flipping 70% sale even started! I ordered them when they were still 50% I'm not too fussed about the order from this morning, but yesterday's order should not have been affected! Hopping mad wouldn't even explain it at the minute the way I am! :mad:Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

Hi,
Vouchers inside some gifts !!
If you are going to use any of the boots sets for presents throughout the year, check to see if there are any money off / points vouchers inside. They are usually only dated until February / March.
No7, Soap & Glory and Champneys are the most likely to contain vouchers from what I remember.
Hope this helps.
( I did post this message this afternoon but thought I would send it again for anyone who may not be aware of these vouchers.)
There is a ten pounds off fifty pounds spend at Joules in the men's flask set! Expires April 2014.galvanizersbaby wrote: »As in lots still available stock wise or are we talking past tense?
Should have despatched OH at lunchtime! :rotfl:
I wouldn't by any stretch say there was loads there this morning but last year they had nil so suppose anything was an improvement.
By lunchtime was still some hair care sets, David Beckham sets andsome fearn cubes. Not sure about perfumes. Oh and I got a fat face belt set. Didn't check on way home.
Edit : this post refers to Canary wharf.Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0
