I was in Chester today. Very civilised. Tons of Sanctuary stuff but no toys. I wanted the Minnie hair dryer too but nope. I got the spaghetti jar I wanted tho. A lady even helped me get an ikea bag when I realised my hand basket wasn't going to hold everything. The only bit of nastiness was the two year old who shot 10feet away from his mum and nan to slap my little girl in the faceI'm playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order!0

Just saw about the email. I really hope you all get your orders, especially those who woke up (or never slept) in the early am.:A0

Was up at 5am to buy all my items online. Had an email confirmation at 5:36 and another at 6:06am. Now had the email stating that not everything I ordered may be in stock :S0

Because everyone up at some godly hour was using the Boots backdoor link to the website... we had the sale goods in our baskets at 2am ready to check out when the real site when live... Worked for me, no cancellation email yet! I spent 4 hours looking at things... it was certainly a bizarre experience...
For a laugh go back to page 12 or so on this thread and read on! :eek:0 -
It's bad enough getting the cancellation e-mail...but you'd think the dumb asses would actually know what we they have and have not got at this time of day. I resent having a pending amount on my cc, and being told *I* can't alter anything as the order is confirmed. Are Boots and Debenhams !!!!in twins now?!

I got two of those emails! I ordered stuff I wanted yesterday wen they were 50% as I knew I wouldn't get them at 70% off. Then as luck (or not) would have it, I was up all night with a bad headache so was able to be online for 5am or shortly after it and placed another small order for some things I didn't order at 50% as I didn't really need them TBH but ordered them anyway.
Now I'm not fussed if I don't get the stuff I ordered this morning, HOWEVER, I WILL be SERIOUSLY PEEVED if my order at 50% off is affected!
As for some posters who complain about prams and wheelchair users. Wise up to yourselves please. That is just rude and WRONG! EVERYONE is entitled to use the shop whether they are able bodied or not.
I've seen loads of complaints of people blocking aisles with prams on purpose or with trolleys, well if it were me being blocked I'd move the trolleys or prams out of the way. If anyone complains then tough luck, I'd tell them to look after their child and make sure they don't get hurt or lost, and the trolleys, well they'd be told that if they don't move them then I will.
I'm not rude, but I'm not behind the door either, if someone is stopping me from doing something and I say excuse me etc and they don't move, then be prepared to be treated the same way.
I didn't go into town after work today as I didn't get home till 4pm, and also I'm still not feeling great but if my 50% things get cancelled there will be hell to pay!Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
We went to the Peterborough queensgate store, and O-M-G it was horrific! Utter carnage! People clearing shelves, and one couple in particular clearing the place out (when we left they had two cages full and the sales assistants were STILL ringing them through the till). Terrible really. We spoke to some people in the queue and apparently they do it every year. That aside, miraculously we did well and got everything we wanted, list below.!
We ordered some things online this morning and they seemed to go through ok, but then at 4pm this afternoon ee received another email saying the response to the sale had been phenomenal and as a result when my order reached the warehouse some items were out of stock. We won't know until we receive sn email confirming what, if anything, we have bought successfully. We hope we got the Guinness pie dish, ted Baker great and the gorgeous set and the hairy bikers pepper mill, but will wait and see. We aren't complaining though, as we managed to get things in store that we never imagined we would.!I hope everyone else got the things they wanted, if not everything then at least something.!
