Morning All
we have sunshine today so I'm going to take full advantage of it and get on with stuff outside - sorting sheds today so I can get as much dangerous "stuff" in one shed under lock and key out of the way of potential children staying here in future.
Then I'm going to paint my tester colours onto paper and distribute them around the walls so I can hopefully make a decision what I can live with for the next 10 years, no doubt :rotfl:
YBC was very subdued and lethargic yesterday. He's never had a reaction to a booster before but clearly felt very unwell. Brighter this morning, thank goodness, and I've taken his breakfast upstairs and coaxed him to eat. He's finally tucking in :j
Off to check on chooks now and pick my veges for dinner later - never got round to that last night.
Have a good day, all, whatever you are doing

Morning
It's sunny here too LB - which is a surprise given it rained most of the night
I would imagine cat boosters are similar to human ones in the sense of they are really a small dose of whatever they are trying to prevent. I felt unwell after my last travel jabs but after a good night's sleep felt better. Perhaps that is what happened to YBC too? Either way, good to hear he's feeling brigher today :T
What colours have you got to choose from?
Have a lovely day all

Morning All,
Thanx for the welcome, well here its sunny but its been raining all night & I forgot to take washing in :eek:
My cat (or rather ds's cat) had her booster on Friday & she has been a wee bit hingy but appears to be better this morning.
Plans for today : bit of tidying up, try & sort out contents of freezer & that will take me a while:(
Hope everyone has a nice day & the weather improves wherever you are.

:hello: hi SquirrelSmall....very fond of cake here too!
Elona, we're a right mixture of different "sorts" of singlies.
Hope you get the house situation sorted soon, it's very stressful trying to sell a house, isn't it?
Lots of gentle (((squishes))) to the poorly cats, horrible when you can't make it better for them. I'm missing the puppy, haven't seen her since Thursday (yeah, this would be the puppy I didn't really want to help look after :rotfl:)LavenderBees wrote: »Yes, a drink (or two) will knock you out, Ellie, but also possibly wake you in the early hours as alcohol swaps your sleep patterns around.
I had a little laugh to myself thinking of your post when I woke at 2am, you were rightSuccess though, only woke once, rather than 4/5 times.

I feel knackered and no menopause yet, Cranky. You have my sympathy. I started but have reversed back out again according to my blood tests...clearly I don't know if I'm coming or going, as with everything in my life :rotfl:
I didn't know you could do that LB!
There are times I wish I could get it all over with, no signs yet, but if it makes you even more tired than normal :eek:LavenderBees wrote: »YBC had a tough time travelling this morning, very poorly, and is still looking wan. He is very sleepy. I'm keeping an eye on him, but think he is just shattered after being so stressed. He was covered from head to tail in what came out of both ends, poor soul.
Poor YBC. Do vets still do home visits? or do they charge an arm and a leg if they do?
I've dyed my hair purple today to cheer myself up (and possibly give everyone else a good laugh too). It looks alright.
CRANKY that tiredness sounds awful.
Purple is my favourite colour, wish we could see your hair. I'm tempted to do little bits of my hair purple, but probably won't get round to it.
The sun is shining :j
Have lots of washing out, and intending to sort out shed like LB.
Would like some lunch, but it's a choice of either picking the mouldy bits off the end of the bread, or leaving the house, WWYD?

Get the breadmaker on...and have a hotch potch meal out of store cupboard and lottie :rotfl:
I luvs hotch potch meals :rotfl:
I've just had breakfast! Been at lottie all morning...wasn't meant to be but love it down there. NG is now happily eating out of my hand, and has been in the run with the other girls for a few hours with hardly any trouble :T
I suspect she will be claimed soon as everyone who walked past lottie remarked they'd seen her out and about this week, had tried to catch or had seen my notice on the tree. Word will get round to the owner, I'm sure, so am trying not to get attached to her...she is a sweetie, though and is already very settled
Right, that's my break over...the sheds are calling...dreading it!

Step away from the bread Ellie...I can imagine the bits of mould that you can't see making their way through it. I've been out to take ds to karate and fetch him back and I've done an hour of weeding in the garden before I had to come in and make him some lunch. I suspect that I won't be going back outside as it's getting darker and darker out there. Even our naughty Borat cat that we hardly see when the weather is good has come back inside.
Our cats sleep for the rest of the day usually after they've had their boosters. They complain about being in their cat carriers but travelling has no effect on them. When I had to go to my neighbours at the back and collect the short legged one who couldn't make it back over the fence I didn't take the cat box and she sat ever so nicely in the middle of the back seat, like royalty being chauffered. Little pest.
We had thunder and lightning here last night. Very impressive and it was over before bed time which was even better.0 -
I love the idea of an "invisible" husband and like you I would not want anyone else.
You have been a huge support and thank you for the help and advice. I keep expecting DH to pop up in the garden and the pink and red roses he planted last year have come up and feel like a present from him when I see them.
I am having a hotch potch today as I had meant to marinate chicken pieces for me and youngest DD. She is now coming home tomorrow so used the chicken with some chopped onion, diced potato and chopped carrots - added frozen coriander and fresh garlic to make soup with flaked cooked chicken to make another dish."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

:rotfl: I like her style CRANKY :rotfl:
What a lovely day it's been, makes such a difference being able to have the door open and everything nice and dry outside (it's just started pee-ing down now though)
I haven't seen or spoken to a soul all day...the house seems to have a different feeling of silence when DS1 isn't in, even though he's often upstairs anyway...I expect that's all in my head
I haven't finished many jobs today, but am quite pleased at what I've got done...especially as I've been struggling with a horrible chest pain all weekend. Not a panic-and-call-an-ambulance pain, I hasten to add, more an ouch-my-ribs-are-playing-up-again pain
Have done some weeding, a bit of cutting back (how I wish I had a gardener, but I'm the type who'd clean up before a cleaner arrived, so would be too embarrassed to let a gardener see my garden), 4 loads of washing, and all ironing done, grocery shopped online (my local supermarket has stopped stocking my favourite muesli, so decided to use their free delivery to get all the shopping) and sorted out my shed. I have 2 car wheels/tyres in there, which DS1 put in before I was ready, and was fed up of moving stuff around them, so got them hauled out and everything rearranged. Put out around 50 items
Still lots to do, but I plan to follow mothernerd's example...I'm going to get my house under control, inch by inch
Now that things are more normal, back to normal working hours, visiting family gone home, most, but not all, of the painting done, I'm going to steadily work my way through the house putting it to rights...again!
LB, have you chosen the shade of green yet?
After last night, I have an opened bottle of wine...anyone want to join me again? :rotfl:
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
I have a can of cider although I'm not supposed to be drinking it as it has sulphites in and sulphites make me itch. Gin and tonic would be more sensible.
I'm waiting until ds goes back to school before I try and gain control. That way he won't see how much of his stuff I'm getting rid ofBoys are such collectors and hoarders! I reckon there's a few carrier bags of plastic junk that can make their way to a charity shop.
My favourite green is the kind that goes really well with pale pink. I was going to paint the kitchen in my old house pink and green but the kitchen was 24ft long. I chickened out and moved to a normal house instead. I had the kitchen walls painted white when I moved in (decorator was a friend of a friend and very cheap) and they're still white now.
The cat actually has so much style that the people who own the garden at the back have now built miss noisy whinging pants a ramp to get over the fence. I can't decide if they're cat lovers or if they were just fed up of the noise she made every time she got stuck. I gave up collecting her in the end and just hung a ladder attached to a skipping rope over the fence every time I heard her crying. I assume the neighbours were also fed up of a ladder coming over their fence on a regular basis. You couldn't make it up......0
