I agree with Winter Phoenix.
The whole 'poor me'...'i've been in a living hell and my family didn't see it'...is classic.
And let's not forget the 'my wife doesn't understand me' nugget of history rewriting. Honestly, i's quite pathetic really isn't it.
If he carries on throw a few subtle insults back (not too subtle though, as if he's got his head up his bum he won't notice major subtlety as his brain will only be focused on himself)
Years ago I once had a partner suggest we went swinging.....this was after he had also suggested an 'open' relationship.
Each to their own, but this just wasn't what I had signed up for when deciding to live together. So, I pointed out that if he really wanted to i'd give it a go (had no intention of doing so), but that he was in fact quite ugly ,not particularly interesting and always thought he was right....so he was running the major risk of me running off with a better option....lol.
Needless to say, it never happened, and the relationship didn't last much longer.
I have slept...at a normal time!. So now awake, about to get up, and run around doing my jobs.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Lol......
We could set up a new sport....you have terrier racing. So you could have hen racing, with a bowl of hot muesli at the end of line.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

Lol....i can just see me,LB and Byatt in a car with 4 hens travelling down to derbyshire.....and I can imagine the chaos....lol.
A henzilla road-trip.
Plant pots and compost bought and re-potting done before it starts teaming it down. Portable barbie cleaned. Onions cooking to make the burgers for next weekend (as I won't eat bought ones).
Will make them and freeze them.
I think I am getting organised, just need to make the beef and potato pasties thursday and do the shopping for buns ,coleslaw, ham and cheese etc and I think i'm done....barr trying to fit everything in my tiny car....ooo...and remember to freeze ice blocks for cool boxes!! I usually take enough food for a week not 2 days.
If the weather is awful though i'm not going to go, i'm not really a camper at the best of times, but in the rain would just be boring aside from car getting stuck.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Many years ago back in the mid-80s at a pub Mr Bugs and I used to go to, one of the husbands had suggested to his wife that they have an open relationship. He finally convinced her ( pressured, take your pick)to give it a whirl, and then wanted to change back to monogomy when he found he was getting nowhere, but she was having a fine old time.:D. I don't think the marriage lasted;)0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: to the hubbie whose schemes for a bit of free nookie didn't come to pass quite as per plan:rotfl::rotfl:0

Evening everyone
Not the usual schedule for me today. I have been on a corporate volunteer day which involved painting bedrooms at a local childrens hospice. Feel shattered but happy that I have done it :T
Definitely going to have an easy evening

Thanks again guys, it seems quite obvious what he's doing when you point it all out to me, but I couldn't work it out for myself - doh.
Think your story about swinging is hilarious - he certainly wasn't a keeper, was he?Evening everyone

Sounds like you've earned an early evening - well done. None of the employers I've ever worked for have done this type of thing, which is a shame. Think they were all too busy trying to squeeze that last drop of blood out of us!
I have a lovely picture of hen racing in my head now .
Hope all are good today - first day back at work after a weekend of doing very little & I'm knackered! Must try & get to bed early tonight too.& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

JKS.....
Funnily enough he has ended up being a keeper of sorts. We are friends now, but that didn't happen straight away. Initially there was the 'can I still get sex there' going on, but nearly 20 years down the line and he no longer has that in his head as much, and to be fair is I think a genuine friend and me to him now, if I had a major problem he would be straight round to help if he could.
Funny how life pans out isn't it, and to the point where we have phoned each other about relationship problems with other people over the years.
He used to run me down, and it took a while for me to see it was his problem not mine. You will get there, you will wake up one day and it just won't matter anymore. It will feel like it has happened suddenly...thats even if you notice it, but it hasn't happened suddenly, it's been a gradual learning process and then it all comes together somehow.
A bit like when you are learning to drive....it's all confusing at first, the all of a sudden you know how to do it...without even thinking about it.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Well...it must be canny windy up here as they say.
In shower, I did hear a loud noise but didn't really think anything of it. Came downstairs, thought I'd sit in the sun for a bit, to find greenhouse in the back garden (it was down the side of the house), and the plants all over the place. Ruddy thing has taken flight!...i'm lucky it didn't put a window out, or go higher and over the fence and land on a car or person!!....i'm going to have to peg or tie it down.
It hasn't bothered Asbo-cat, she's still in the same position flat out on conservatory floor.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0
