  • Wow - you were Lucky Calicocat. Weather has been weird here too. Sunny and warm , then rain, then sun, then hail the size of golf balls. I was really Lucky my car didn't get dented. My neighbour's did and have been getting lots of reports of broken windshields.

    I have tied it down with string...still blowing about, so have shoved a really heavy pot in the bottom which seems to have done the trick.

    The weather with you sounds worse than me, no hail here (yet)...just sun...and the wind-tunnel factor. I am by the coast so it's often windy here compared to what I was used to......i've never heard anything like it in the winter, it's like something out of a horror movie..

    I think i'm going to have to take the washing spin thing down...I can see that getting lifted and blown somewhere.

    It's a weird day...but quite nice all the same as it's warm here.
    Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

    Evening.

    Feeling very :( here tonight. Yesterdays positivity following my good deed lasted about 10 minutes this morning once I arrived at work. Spent the day feeling pretty stressed and generally unappreciated and despondent with life. Is this really the best I have to look forward to for the next 30 odd years that I will most likely have to work for?
    Sorry to be so glum. The whole situation just reminds me that I have no-one to share the days tales with either :(:(

    My hug isn't as dodgy as LB's however. Not entirely sure why hers is dodgy...unless she's covered in chicken poo....lol.


    I understand how you feel, as feel the same often about vile work and another possible 10-15 years of doing it. Although to be fair the wards could be shut down anytime, then I won't have a job, and then be whining about that...we can't win either way can we.

    Sorry for being a bit aaargh. Feeling less antsy now I've had some food and a large drink.

    The sensible part of knows that I need the job as certainly can't afford my bills without it.... but I would SO love to tell them where to stick it. Actually, thinking about it in fact, I would just settle for having a job I don't hate much of the time. Do they exist?

    Well if I could get the same pay for playing with puppies and kittens (and now hens)...that would be me happy.

    Job doesn't exist though.

    I did think about doing vet nursing, but would get upset half the time I think, and would be on the bones of my arris while training.

    I think probably most full time jobs are poo when you get to my age (48) and constantly dream of not working. I would love to be part time, but can't afford it and keep doing what I do now.

    That really would be a cool job. If I win the lottery and set up such a scheme I'll be sure to let you know ;)

    I don't really know what I want to do job wise (kinda fell into this one) Never did and I think that's part of the problem..
