OS Singlies - We Do It Our Way!

Anyhow, on a lighter note.....LB has 2 new lovely dresses for the hols.
We ate loads at lunch.
A nice bloke googled the strength of sunglasses for us, a woman kept coming back into the changing room as she loved our chat...she actually thanked me for the entertainment value....lol.
And LB has given me a new name......Gok...
I nearly went home with 5 year old dog called Wicked (would match Asbo I guess), husband was willing for me to have him, but wife wasn't so keen. They had just 'inherited' it as the bloke termed it. Wicked had had a few too many sunday roasts bless him, but was well cute even bypassing the halitosis.
The 'girls' have a new mirror....a proper big mirror, which I think had them in momentary shock..but not enough to put them off their food.
So, i've had a lovely day, and am off to have a chat with one of the pepper plants that has a flower. This could mean i have actually grown something other than herbs!!
Enjoy tomorrow everyone.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

That cat must be drugged or something. There's no way any of mine would allow that. Naughty tortie would bite my fingers off and the claws would come out with eldest fluffy boy. The young uns - well they would probably scarper!
Talking of which, young Billy was out on the lawn just now, playing with something. Went out to check. He had a young (and very recently dead) mole. I have no idea where he caught/found it but this doesn't bode well for the future. I had so hoped these two latest ones wouldn't be interested in catching their own supper ...

Lol....i can't see it as not on faceache...but have been reliably informed that said cat is pretty much out of it.
My tortie would take your face off at times rather than look at you, I won't go into it now, but just got the scratches to prove Never pick up a tortie.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Greenbee & Mtstm, thanks for trying to help, the problem is it's not just wanting sweet things, it's a real compulsion for food, I hate the feeling. So far tonight, because I am feeling particularly low after having company for a week and now on my own, have eaten my dinner, dessert, packet of nuts (the whole lot, meant to last several days), an apple puff, 2 Welsh cakes, a bowl of cereal...I'm not even hungry.
I will probably eat an apple before I go to bed.
I also don't have a table, the place is too small for that, so sit at the coffee table.
Anyway, before we end up all crying in our soup, I'd better stop!:D0 -

Cheering thought - not - Calico:(.
Set off a train of thought along the "Nature abhors a vacuum" phrase and wondering whether you need to get a (desirable this time) habit lined-up to replace a previous (undesirable) one. So, some hobby that's very keenly indulged in (that would be constructive if it were gardening in my case = extra food:D) or at least harmless (eg tv soap opera addict).0 -
Beautiful morning here, and even better DD and DS still asleep so I have some quiet time :j
We all have our demons to deal with don't we? Whether it's food, alcohol, spending too much money or whatever... I'm not sure whether being a singlie makes it more difficult to change bad habits (lack of support/encouragement) or easier because there's nobody to derail our good intentions. Still, I appreciate being able to come here and winge/moan, share good news and generally find out what you're all up to.
DD's best friend has just got four chickens so I'm seeing them later today. I'll offer to chicken-sit when they're on holiday
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all - just for once it's sunny here :j No idea how long it will last though!
I had a busy but enjoyable day yesterday with my folks who came to visit - 2 mad dogs included.
Today I'm going to have a quiet-ish day. I have one or two chores to do but then intend to spend the rest of the day relaxing and not thinking about work tomorrow. I've got quite a full on week (even though it's short) including a trip to London one day with overnight stayNot my favorite work activity for sure
Goodness I daren't list my compulsions here - there would be so many and you'd think I was a nut! Well more of a nut than now anyway :rotfl: I agree that food is probably one of the trickiest though. What's weird for me is that I can ignore all manner of things at work (when people bring in holiday sweets and bday cakes etc). Yet at home, if there are in - somehow I have to eat them  Just easier for me to limit naughty foods at home - it seems to be the only thing that works for me.
