My list of comps to avoid is similar to many above

Meet and greets (won one once that included meeting Martina Navratilova at a tennis match. The match was rained off and Martina did not turn up - I was very relieved so decided never again :)

    Other sport events

Spa days - won two treatments a couple of years ago - no miracles so not worth the sitting about!

DVDs and BluRays. Still haven't watched the DVDs that came with the DVD player bought 5 years ago.

Clothes (but would like to win vouchers to choose some)

Comps meant for children or engaged couples

Radio phone-ins - would be sure to make an idiot of myself with nerves

Concerts where the audience are likely to stand as soon as the musicians appear on stage. I like to see from the comfort of my seat!

So I am thinking if you lot don't like spa stays and I try my hardest to win one then why haven't I won one!? Lol
I don't enter for dvds, tickets to premieres or things too far away, rugby or equestrian related prizes, raffle copters that are huge!
Thanks to all those fab compers who post:j:T

Many thanks for all the replies it makes for interesting reading :T

I notice only one person mentioned not entering for white goods and no one mentioned not entering for computer/gaming console/phones/money stuff...

...So we are all entering the same comps

(I did laugh at the designer jewellery/handbags comment I must agree some of it is hideous) :(

  • Only just started comping, have a few definite not enters:

Holidays that don't include travel- Just can't afford travel costs at the moment.

Non-dog pet stuff- Only have a dog.

Sport stuff other than archery, equestrian, roller derby or motor racing- Basically only things myself & immediate family are interested in.

Wedding/engaged/couples ones- am none of those.

Kitchen stuff & appliances- Live at home with a recently refurbished and fully stocked kitchen so not needed.

Tvs- Very happy with my tv card in my computer and don't need or want a separate one.

Things for young children- Don't have or know any; I do enter for some baby stuff due to pregnant friends.

Photo entries- I really can't be bothered.

DVD/BluRays- Most of those up for grabs never interest me(with exceptions in Parks & Recreation and Breaking Bad).
  • Only had this conversation with my partner yesterday, i don't enter:
Holidays - no passport and can't afford travel
Hotel stays - kids too young to leave
Sporting events- not in to any sports
Gigs/ show tickets - no one to go with lol
    Meals out - unless local
Animal stuff - no pets unless can see something for neighbors dog
Photo entries - can't be bothered
    Enter most other things

    I don't enter

Baby things - the youngest three are now 18 (wish I'd been comping when they were small...)
Holidays abroad- family too large and medication issues
    Win tickets for football/cricket/rugby matches
Spa places-never easy to get to without a car.
Kindle Fire (won in the advents)
Meals out (unless local and not exotic, or likely to include garlic)
    Fishing stuff- nuff said...
Animal things- no room for pet in our house.
Wedding competitions (been married 30 years)
    Toys (no grandchildren yet)
    Meet and Greets- No!!!!
Blu-Rays (unless I get the player first)

    I don't enter the following:

    Rafflecopter: Find it too confusing
Holidays: Can't go on them as have responsibilities
DVD's: Except for ones I actually want to win
Sports stuff: Unless I know someone who'd be interested in it
    Spa Treatments: Not for me
    Wedding or valentines stuff
    Health food hampers
Twitter comps: Unless they seem straightforward. Twitter confuses me
concerts: Not always interested/wouldn't be able to travel

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them presently
  • Been thinking about this and it all kindof depends on the prize, I don't tend to enter:

holidays - unless it was an all expenses paid trip to disneyworld or similar so i could take my kids.

cars - though i might need a new one soon so as long as it's not a sports car i might now
    wedding things - already married
    over 50's/ gransnet etc...
things that involve writing/ making videos etc...

anything that involves facebook like and share - hate them
anything that requires pics of my kids
Life is too short to let people get you down :j
