Grrr... Not a good nights sleep :( I've taken painkillers and done some exercises and 'm still in a fair bit of pain :(

My next physio and acupuncture sessions are not for a while so I contacted 111 for advice and they told me to contact my GP.

I called my GP, but the receptionist told me to call the physio dept first because that's all my GP would do (which I have no problem with doing because asking my GP seemed a bit odd anyway).

I've called the physio dept and there's apparently no free slots at all so they are going to get my physio to call me back...

At the time of my last visit I was feeling pretty good so didn't challenge the fact my next appointment isn't for another couple of weeks but now I regret not doing it straight away :( my own fault :( oh well :(

Today I'm going to invest in my own TENS machine, I've been using my uncles but he needs it back, someone told me you can rent them but I don't see the point if I can get one for about £20 or so and I'm going to need it for a while? Seems like false economy to me...

    Laters!

  • Thursday 27/02/14:

It's been a few days since my last post here, nothing has changed though so nobody is missing anything :)

Today is payday!!! So, I've made my payment to SC and just need to change the total on my signature...

I had planned to use some of the money left over from the stuff I sold to pay a little more off my debts but I've hit a brick wall with my physio and acupuncture on the NHS and can't get any until the 11th of March (boooo), not even my GP is able to help so I've booked and paid for 3 physio and 4 acupuncture sessions over the course of the next two weeks - no idea if it's a good price but it was a package deal for £165? Seems reasonable as each session lasts for an hour so that works out at just under £24 per hour which sounds ok to me?

But she has changed my meds so now instead of Co-codamol I'm starting Tramadol which is apparently a bit stronger but may make me feel a bit woozy for a few days?

I've also been signed off for another 3 weeks and told to try to just rest as opposed to forcing my body to do things which it doesn't want to do :( well, I guess I have been trying to push myself a bit so... fine :( I never thought I'd be disappointed about having to take time off work while being paid! LOL Who knew...

Hey ho, my goal for the next month is to live as cheaply as possible (not scrimping on food though), that's my challenge and I have chosen to accept it :) BRING IT ON!!!!

    Wotcha,

I think I know what you mean... It's only been a day and while the pain does seem to be "less painful" it's not the only thing which has become dulled...

I was in the kitchen talking to my housemate while preparing some dinner, after about half an hour she asked me why I'd heated up three cans of soup one after the other (by which time all were cold again) and was microwaving a half eaten mars bar!

My doc said I'd be a little woozy and out of sorts but I was a little surprised by my actions?

Apparently I made the same comments about the day several times too?

    Friday 28/02/14:

Very weird... I just wasn't tired last night and was up until almost 3am and woke up again at 7.30am feeling totally refreshed, not hungry and actually sort of ok?

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing? LOL, I'll be going out for my first walk of the day soon so I guess the proof is in the pudding...

Finance wise, nothing much to report - I got paid yesterday and have made my DMP payment so that felt good :) I have also paid an additional £2.38 to Barclaycard and £1.52 to Very to round their balances down to £1900 and £90 respectively :) they're not zero but having them standing at a whole number feels kinda nice :)

    Update!

    Some seriously weird stuff...

The pain in my back and legs is numbed but I can tell it's there (a very odd feeling) but I seem to be one step behind myself and random things like not immediately recognising people I know and thinking a broken bottle in the street was silver? LOL It's nothing scary as I'm feeling kinda mellow but WEIRD MAN!!!

I was just around at my brothers, I made a coffee/tea hybrid, put his kettle in his bedroom and stole his wallet (which I have since taken back) because I thought they were my keys LOL

At the moment it's funny but if things don't settle down then I'll have to call the doc as I may need to either reduce the dosage or go back to co-codamol :)
