    LOL, I know...

But I'm a big fat sweaty, smelly man with size 12 feet... Baby steps don't come naturally to me ;)

I guess that I thought it could be all over and I could get on with life again, I'll not be doing that again in a hurry I can tell you!

I'm like one of those rats that get experimented on... Ooh, is that cheese? How delightful! Owwww electric shock! Run away!!! Ooh, is that cheese? How delightful! Owwww electric shock! Run away!!! Ooh, is that cheese? I don't like cheese...

    :)

Hi mb, hope your feeling ok this morning? Now unless I'm wrong your not a doctor, so pills that have been prescribed for you, particularly anti depressants should be taken as directed not for you to choose to stop willy nilly!
Your focus on debt busting is fab, but now that is under control and once your naughty back is also under control I think you need to find another "hobby" as it were to keep you busy. You come across as a character that needs challenges. Once your debts are gone what are your plans? What is the dream and how are you going to achieve it?

    Hi Puzz,

LOL you think the doctors know better than me is that what you're saying???? How very dare you!!! HOW VERY DARE YOU!!!! LOL

    You're right of course :)

Today I'm not too bad, I'm all pain killered up again and the difference is quite massive actually - before I stopped it didn't feel like they were doing much, that coupled with the length of time mad me feel cocky I think :(

And you're absolutely right (are you ever actually wrong?) I have a puzzlers mind, I look for things which can either be fixed or improved or re-done - as it turns out, it's this same mind set which is also susceptible to flashing numbers and images (I.e. slot machines in bookies) but I think I have that line of "hobby" kicked t touch now (touch wood).

When I'm debt free? Well... that's the big question isn't it!

I'm 37 (38 this year) and I'm single, one of the things which has been holding me back is my guilt about my debt, my gambling and my total lack of social circle :( I have people I like to hang out with but few "friends" and I have little in the way of hobbies because I get bored easily.

When I'm debt free I want to try to get my life back on track, go out more, socialise more and try to trust people more - some would argue that there's nothing stopping me from doing that now and I agree to an extent but the way my brain works having the debt feels like a big neon sign saying "DEBTOR!!! DEBTOR!!! DEBTOR!!!" if that makes any sense?

It's not that I'm lacking in confidence you understand, I just don't want to saddle anyone with a lump of skint flab so I tend to keep myself to myself more and more and just dish out advice (which is normally pretty good apparently) and act as a peacekeeper to those around me :)

Long term plan is get a life!

But I also want to go on a holiday to get away from being me - I'm not a lounge on the beach kinda guy, but I've always wanted to go on either a Gorilla safari to see them in the wild or to go overlanding in Borneo to see Orangutans :) I think one (or both?) will be my reward for beating my gambling and debt problems and draw a virtual line in the dirt from which point I can step out and get the life I'm looking for :)

Hmmm... I know its not exactly Earth shattering stuff but I think that a life is something which a lot of people take for granted and while I'm not saying I don't have one, I know I can have (and deserve) better.

How about you? What are you're plans? You do know I'm gonna go and read your diary now don't you LOL x

I think a lot of people who are in debt could relate to much of what you have said. Debt has certainly drawn me in, made me insular and anti social. I do have some very good friends but NONE know the situation I'm in which can make it a lonely existence.

I think it's very positive to plan the future and if monkeys are your thing then maybe a little monkey saving pot would be a good idea, I have an online one called cape Verde....

I think I can almost 99% positively say that given our time again we would do things differently, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing and all we can now do is our best to get rid of these pesky debts asap. You will be debt free much sooner than me, and I will expect to see monkey photos of that trip...

Weird isn't it? Our debt is not any of anybody else's business and shouldn't be anything to be ashamed more than any other trait like my glasses and wonky thumbs but we are!!!

I say ashamed, more not wanting people we care about judging us for our past mistakes...

I do (ooh ooh ooh - sorry, a little monkey joke there ;) ) like the idea of having a monkey saving pot though... A little extra something to keep me driving forward and a goal so I know when I can draw my line :)

Also, while my debt might be smaller and repaid a bit faster it will be equally satisfying for both of us in the end : : I'll swapsie you some monkey pics for some lounging beach holiday pics? :)

LOL, but 50 is the new 40 which is apparently the new 30 isn't it???

I can't honestly imagine anywhere I would like to go less than Vegas thankfully LOL although, it could be fun to go see the likes of Tom Jones and whoever else is a regular out there? I'd much rather hug an Orangutan though... Awwww...

If I had any way in which I could take and post a piccie then I would LOL I think they're ok but others tell me that my thumbs are weird! But really they're just a bit double jointedy :)

By the time I'm DF I'll probably be or will definitely be on my run up to being 40... Therefore I want to go see vegetarian animals, not ones which might want to eat me because I honestly couldn't be @rsed trying to run away LOL I'm THAT lazy and out of shape...

I have no idea what they mean when people say things like "50 is the new 40" I just read it in one of my Mum's magazines so it must be true right ;)

I've never tried climbing into a small box but have tried climbing into a suitcase (it was late, I'd had a few beers, I came in to watch the news and it was that MFI bloke (or was it MI5) who was in a duffle bag or something and remember thinking 'I could do that'... I could but only just, well not entirely and unzipping a suitcase from the inside is is harder than zipping it LOL

Some monkeys eat meat too (omnivorous) chimps and baboons for example... It's thought that our ancestors developed larger brains because we ate meat and the extra protein did something scientific and yawn zzzz....

I'm not ginger but if I could be an animal, it'd be an Orangutan... Oook!
