Shop Direct Group, who Yodel are part of, should be avoided anyway. Across all of their brands (Littlewoods, Very, K&Co etc) they offer "interest free" credit, but funnily enough have massive markups on their products that all work out at a premium of 27.9% over RRP (e.g. Xbox One on Amazon, £429; Littlewoods, £549; 549/429*100-100 = 27.97%). They charge this massive premium but then also offer crap service, including using the cheap-and-terrible Yodel and treating those in financial difficulty extremely poorly, including adding further interest markups for those seeking repayment plans.

So, not surprising. The whole company is crap.

How did I manage to get a Samsung Tablet for the cheapest market price from Littlewoods then?
I used their own cashback deal on a BNPL deal.
paid before the interest term started.
Yes they have high mark ups on many things. however its short sighted not to check.

I had my fist and only experience of Yodel on Thursday after ordering items from Debenhams

9:30am Parcel arrives from Yodel, delivery man says 'this is parcel 2 of 2, have you had number 1? No is my reply, so I sign for it, take it in and think no more and go out for a couple of hours

11:30am Return home to a card stating a parcel is waiting with a neighbour delivered at 10:30

lo and behold it is parcel number 1, I know its all computerised but I can't help but wonder was it the same delivery man who drove around and then realised he also had parcel one or were 2 parcels for the same house really sent out in 2 different vans :)

I sometimes have 3 vans with 3 different drivers delivering an order on the same day.

When they are busy - they just grab what they can and split the parcels up. No checks to see if any are for same address.

Must be costing Yodel a fortune in wasted petrol. One driver had driven 20 miles. When i told him the other 2 had been - he said of of those guys had passed him the parcels off his van. Nuts.

It does happen - but is rarer now. I paid £49 for a modem from Very - next cheapest anywhere was £69. And an HTC 8 was £179 when it came out - all other shops wanted £300+. I think they are more pricing errors than deals.

And if you can't pay the BNPL price on the date given - the price immediately DOUBLES!!!

One of my friends had an electrical item delivered by Yodel - couldn't remember the company she bought it through.

Both she and her OH were out. The Yodel delivery driver simply just threw the printer over the side gate and it was rainy that day as well. The box was soggy and the contents were soggy and broken.

Needless to say, she paid by credit card and got her money back that way. Never again she will use Yodel.

Collect+ market themselves as a courier too
Odd you wouldnt check before posting?

    http://www.collectplus.co.uk/

People voting, placed them higher on experience.

Collect+ are NOT couriers in the same way Staples (who I can drop a parcel off with and have it delivered by DHL) are not couriers. They are closer to a reseller of Yodel's services than a courier.

To list Yodel and Collect+ alongside each other is misleading, especially as some (most) don't know the difference...

Sorry I know this is off-topic but this isn't correct. The price is the price no matter what - what does happen is that the interest you would have accrued had you not been on a BNPL deal is applied to the account, I know Very's interest rates are high but I doubt they are 100%
