    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.
  • I'm still waiting after 10 years for mine to go..........mind you, I've had another one inbetween, so it should be ready to start shifting soon;) !.

Seriously tho, I do know how you feel. After my first was born (he was 8 weeks prem), when I was walking around people would ask me when I was due. I still looked huge even tho I'd had him. It dosent improve your confidence much:rolleyes:
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

  • I invested in some gripper knickers, sadly they just displaced my tummy fat into an enormous muffin top which was even worse!! Still I wouldn't fancy a tummy tuck even if I had the dosh as the scar you get is worse than the podgy tummy I,ve got now IMO.

  • i started dieting 6 weeks after child birth, the result.....i was 2 1/2 stone lighter and 2 dress sizes smaller than before i got preg! This took me only 4 months to achieve, and no i didnt survive on water and celery alone it was with weight watchers. I'd recommend it.
of course there are the odd positions i can get in when my tummy may resemble a wrinkly ball bag, but the majority of the time its fine, espcially when i'm clothed!! i'm happier now than i ever was!

I'm currently 10.5 mos after section number 2 and have lost all the weight bar the overhanging tummy which I have accepted I will never lose. Posh Spice and all the rest must have tummy tucks 'cos there is no way they can have a flat tummy otherwise :)

Gradually the weight will fall off with a healthy diet and exercise. Don't get hung up about it, it took time to grown baby and it will take time to lose the weight you gained. Give yourself at least a year imo.

Can I piggy back on this thread and ask about magic knickers? Where can I buy these? What are the best ones? How much? They sound like the miracle all of us ladies with overhangs have been looking for!

after 2 babes in 18 months I went back to Weightwatchers and it took me 8 months to lose 3 stone and get back to the weight I was when I first got pregnant ( I ate A LOT during my pregnancies LOL).
However I still had a flabby tum and constantly had to watch what I ate and do loads of exercise.

I am now pregnant with #3, its all gone to pot again, and I am goingto do WW again to try and get it all under control again after baby comes.
Baby die mid September, think I am goingto give myself til Christmas when baby 12 weeks old or so and into a bit of routine before I start worrying too muc

My midwife gave me some great exercises to do post birth. Pelvic floor & tummy toning all in one! She'd just had a baby herself though, so may have been more understanding than most.

Although my womb & cervix shrunk back to normal really quickly (had a coil fitted 8 weeks after ds was born & GP said he'd never have known I'd had a baby from how they'd gone back to normal), I never really lost the baby weight & saggy tum til I left (now ex) hubby - not that I'd recommend it!

It may be worth asking midwife / HV for tummy toning pelvic floor exercises.

    xx
