Wanna bet? I had a physio arrive in my room less than 3 hours after a C section and left me a leaflet...that was it.

isnt it amazing how different some areas can be. after my 1st section i got an infection and had to go back to surgery twice to have the infection cut out. i was left with a hole big enough to fit 2 clenched fists in and twirl round without touching the sides. i was in hospital for 3 weeks and they sent me to physio lol not much i could do with a gapping hole in my stomach!! :rotfl:
after my 2nd section i got..... naff all

back on topic. i agree that 1 month really isnt long enough to start worrying about your tummy. just because all the celebs manage to get into their clothes the day after birth doesnt mean we have to kill ourselves to follow them lol
take it easy and enjoy your time with the baby, they dont stay babies for long (unfortunately)
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A

I wouldnt worry bout it either. My baby is almost 8 (years) and belly is no better now than it ever was. Im over 12 stone tho and know that if I lost a few stones it would reduce but to be honest i enjoy my food too much to be bothered.

Just enjoy baby and see what happens. It probably will go down a bit more as things get back to normal but u may need to join the magic knickers club as well as the mums club lol

Not ideal! Part of the postnatal care package that should be given includes postnatal expercices (for both vaginal and abdominal delivery), this helps in toning the supporting structures back up. I would sugguest that people specifically ask their midwives to go through the exercises with them!

The midwife told me to do pelvic floor exercises and said it was more important to do them this time with it being my third baby. Never got any info on other exercises though.

I've got my post natal check up on 3rd July when baby is 8 weeks old and was going to ask about exercising then.
Here I go again on my own....

 I just knew I'd regret opening this thread *stares begrudgingly at 6 month bump*... Not that I was anywhere near flat before, but at least there was hope... Never mind...

Don't worry, in 3 months you will have something much lovelier than a flat stomach!

That's not true, I have an overhang and am just under 6 stone

But then you've got to ask yourself, which would you choose, kids or a flat stomach there's no contest is there?! (Well not most of the time anyway!!)

  • Four and a half years after 2nd C section I,ve given up all hope of ever having a flat tummy. In fact I've decided not to bother losing the stone I really need to lose as I think I'd have one of those empty bag like tummys hanging over the ledge of my scar, whereas now its just a full, cushion like affair!!
