The reason the pensioners are excluded is obvious they are the tories main supporters.

I read it's because they don't have the option to bring in extra income via working. Neither do many disabled people.

so all a blind person should expect from life is a roof over their head and nothing more?
Is that all your life consists of?

    From the state?

    yes.
I have worked, but lets assume i was blind from birth and have never worked.
Does that mean i should just expect to exist?

exactly, it applies to disabled people but not the pensioners, so that can't be the reason can it.

It only applies to the disabled if they can prove they need the room, if they can't them they have to arrange the removal vans etc

Cameron made it clear, he was not going to take any benefits away from the pensioners, obviously he couldn't then go and charge them the bed room tax, it has noting to do with their lack of ability to relocate.

thats a sweeping statement. My great nan died at 104 and lived in her own home until she died, she was 100% lucid and on the ball til the day she died.
I however, am blind. I adapt to a new home rapidly, but a new area id something else.
    Yet thats what is expected.
I hyad 46 years of reasonable sight before i became blind, and you cant adfapt that easiluy. But dont let that stop benefit being cut if i have a spare room .......l

For goodness sake I could tell you my grandad was herding cows the day before he died at 106 but he would rather be an exception than the norm. Well he said he was.

Nanny much as I sort of sympathise with you, it must be tough to lose your sight, you really do have a 'poor me entitled to' attitude. You actually receive about £2K a month in various support initiatives yet still never think it is enough and are always moaning.

you then get extra money from the state with regards direct payments esa dla that allows you meet you wants due to your disability and the extra help required.
Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j

you want both parents to have +1 room(s) for the kid(s)?
Assuming the non resident parent is claiming.

Whats your definition of 'need'? for disabled need?

Is it up to the HA to find people homes now? What would be the limits on this.
distance? Eg on the East of Edinburgh I could get a house closer in East Lothian (different council)than the West of Edinburgh

why do you believe I should somehow justify this to you? after your comments, I have little belief that you are capable of thinking about the genuine needs of the disabled.

again (lordy) if you are happy with a policy where the majority who are affected are disabled then I would have a quiet think about how you have arrived at this point in your life.
