Good morning everyone,
17 AFD please Shaggy.
CPC - hope you feel better soon. Dizzy, amazing resolve to pass over the biscuit tin and to stick with it after a sulk/row. Grrr to things that upset our equilibrium. HB - holiday in Portugal in June sounds lovely.
Have a good day everyone, Arkers x0 -
12/25 AFDs for me, with another epic fail weekend. I can't reach my target now, which is rubbish. Plus I still feel yuk, so I've decided I need to cut out wine at home (my downfall) and resume my lower-carb diet plus exercise.
Onto lighter notes, DH and I went to see Bellowhead last night which was fun. Sister and 2 cousins were with us, and we came away planning a family get together for our US cousin who's just announced he's visiting in 20 days time and we'll get to meet his partner who sounds lovely.
CPC I hope you feel better soon, I empathise. Dizzy, Grrr to rows and sulks that simmer. HB - belated happy birthday! Portugal in June sounds fab. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Healing vibes for you Counting Pennies Claire. You'll be raring to get fit once the weather warms up and we get a bit of sunshine every day. It sounds as though you've notched up quite a few AFDs, too.
Oooh, lovely, Dizzy. You get to kiss and make up with your DH.Maman, think dark chocolate has health benefits though? ...Well, so I've read
Masses. I feel totally fit and healthy. Chocolate cake for breakfast and tea at the moment is part of my post-birthday get fit regime.
20/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

Totally fit and healthy on a chocolate cake diet!! What a recommendation!
:rotfl:
I had health-giving chocolate last night. DH actually unwrapped it and put it in my hand and even my resolve isn't that strong. Definitely having another treat free day before the week's out though.
I've just realised that I can reach my target of 10 tomorrow which has motivated me. That means any AF days next week are bonus days. I'm pleased with that. I know we all have different attitudes to targets. Personally I find having a bottom line minimum for any month regardless of social functions or holidays suits me but I always aim to exceed it. What I never want to go back to is daily drinking.

14 please, Shaggy, ta
I can certainly identify with all the choc and biscuits talk - I have been eating more chocolate and biscuits than usual as 'treats' recently to try to jump-start myself into cutting back on the wine, which had been creeping up, and it is working so far:cool: I just think that the impact on my overall health must be better than the impact of wine on my liver
I think I am now at a stage where I can replace the choc and bix with fruit and nuts0 -
10/20 for me please Shaggy.
The madness at our place is that they wanted to cut back the budget in the office, so they stopped buying Earl Grey and fruit/herbal tea bags, but have kept the piles of biscuits. I would much rather have the (earl grey) tea bags than the biscuits and surely it is healthier for the staff???!What goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -
Afternoon :hello:
1 AFD for yesterday.
1 of the best weather days of the year so far but my hay fever is the worst!
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
