One more AF day for me so 5/16 for me now. I was at a dinner party last night, 12 people and I was the only driver so I didn't drink anything. I felt a certain disconnect but then decided to just pretend I was a bit tipsy - worked a treat and I had a good laugh.Trying to keep in budget.

You and me both Dizzy
Can not resist a choccy biccy at all. They do the rounds at work a lot, which doesn't help. Thanks Maman. I am thinking I will set a target of five days a month where I don't eat treats - starting low so it doesn't feel too painful!
Some of my friends have been doing the 5:2 diet where you have two very low (500/600) calorie days each week and the rest eat normally. So you could start with your own 6:1 diet and perhaps build from there.:)0 -

5/15 for me please Shaggy.

Dizzy, Smiley, Honey Bear, I'm so chuffed you like my idea! Honestly didn't mean to start a mini-group though - I was just trying to modestly suggest it was something I needed to do, but very happy to go along with a group effort if there's a few of us? ...
I can't start today though as have already had two hot cross buns for breakfast! ha ha

Maman, I have actually done the 5:2 diet (and the "alternative day diet", which is every second day) - it did work, but it was like all diets, couldn't keep it up over the long run really, though I do weigh a lot less than I did about three years ago, so the effects sort of stuck. I have been thinking about whether I should do the 5:2 again but it's a bit like a cold shower, I'm just put off by the thought!

6/25 for yesterday and today. Epic fail on Saturday, and a wasted AFDs on a half-pint of beer on Friday evening when out for DH's birthday. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

5/20 for me as I actually made it AF yesterday - the first sunday in as long as I can remember when I haven't had a drink!
I am on countdown to holiday and intended to do the 5:2 diet as it has worked well for me in the past, but my working situation has changed and so far I have only managed 6:1, with Mondays having been fast days for the last few weeks. Between that and my Fitbit I am on the downward slope weightwise, but it is incredibly slow. I have been good in that I haven't replaced alcohol with bad things like chocolate or snacks, I just don't have them in the house. I think generally I eat pretty well, I just eat too much! (and drink too much, which of course is empty calories!). Even though I only drank on Friday and Saturday last week I was still over the 14 units, which is terrible. What goes around comes around.....I hope!0
