7/25 AFDs today. I had to come home from work at lunchtime, as I was feeling so unwell, and it wasn't down to a hangover. I guess it's time to go to the doctors.
Fellow parkrunners: I'm feeling incensed tonight because Little Stoke (near Bristol) parish council have voted to start charging parkrun. parkrun is a FREE timed 5k run that takes place throughout the UK and many other countries each Saturday morning. I've done over 100 parkruns, and what I love about it is the inclusiveness, supportiveness and sense of community it engenders. You can turn up at any venue and you know you'll be made very welcome. Whether you finish in 16 minutes or 90 minutes, you'll be cheered on.
Hope you've taken your own advice and made a GP appointment satchmo.
I heard the discussion about Park Run on the radio. Surely the participants have already paid for their local parks in their Council Tax so now the plan is to charge for using them! It seems counterproductive when we're trying to encourage good physical and mental health.
I'm determined to have a super healthy day today and that includes not drinking.
5 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -

Back off holidays since Sunday but only just getting chance to post. Had a lovely sunshine break and although did drink every day only had a fraction of what I would normally have drunk and NO hangovers, which I think is a first!!
6/15 so far this month including tonight.
Also rejoined SW last night for about the 6th time. Joined using new initiative, NEWYOU, if you buy a 12 week countdown you join free and also get 2 free weeks saving about £19. Determined to lose just under 2 stone so not drinking is definitely going to help because won't be drinking empty calories and won't be raiding the fridge after one too many!!DF by Christmas 2014 #78 £18,964.15/£15,000

Been very busy here with the house, so haven't had a chance to think about wanting a drink. However, a wedding looms this weekend, so my resolve will be put to the test!

7/15 for me please Shaggy.
Also doing the first of my treat-free days today so if anyone would like to join me, that would be great - if not, it's all good, I just thought I'd flag it upMy own rules are: no choccy, no chips, no crisps, no fatty snacks, no buns, no cake, no biscuits, and no booze, obviously! I'm allowed fruit (fresh not dried). I have got lentil soup in the fridge for dindins tonight so that makes it a bit simpler.
