Sounds sensible, Cathybird. I think my version would have to be no cheese, chocolate, no chips and no sugary stuff. But not this week. We brought rather a lot of cheese back from France ....

    14/30 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

7/15 for me please Shaggy. :)

Also doing the first of my treat-free days today so if anyone would like to join me, that would be great - if not, it's all good, I just thought I'd flag it up :) My own rules are: no choccy, no chips, no crisps, no fatty snacks, no buns, no cake, no biscuits, and no booze, obviously! I'm allowed fruit (fresh not dried). I have got lentil soup in the fridge for dindins tonight so that makes it a bit simpler.

I'll join you today CathyBird - I am attempting a 5:2 fast day and if I manage it it will be the first time this year I have managed to do 2 fast days in the same week. I am in the habit of Mondays but have really struggled to get that 2nd day done. Today's target is tea (skim milk) and water all day, then chicken breast and veggies for dinner with a at free yogurt and some strawberries. I usually find about 3-4pm is the difficult time, but if I have a drink of water I can get through it.

On another note, I was bad last night and had my first weekday (Mon-Thur) drink in a couple of months. Ashamed of myself, must do better, so I'm still stuck on 7/20 and not confident I will make my target for April :(
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Fellow parkrunners: I'm feeling incensed tonight because Little Stoke (near Bristol) parish council have voted to start charging parkrun. parkrun is a FREE timed 5k run that takes place throughout the UK and many other countries each Saturday morning. I've done over 100 parkruns, and what I love about it is the inclusiveness, supportiveness and sense of community it engenders. You can turn up at any venue and you know you'll be made very welcome. Whether you finish in 16 minutes or 90 minutes, you'll be cheered on.

I don't do Parkrun but I think it's a great thing. You wouldn't think there was an obesity crisis in the UK would you?

ElusiveLucy, fantastic - we're in it together then :T I find afternoon hunger pangs hard too as it feels as though there's so much left of the day to go but you are right, they do disappear if you slog through them.

Honey Bear, I should have put cheese on my list, thank you. I love cheese - the haul you brought back from France sounds extremely tempting. :)

Oh pants! I'd forgotten about this. Already eaten a packet of cheddars and two cheese and pickle sandwiches

Ok - so no chocolate for me or biscuits, cake etc. it is then...

    How you doing Cathybird?

I've survived past the awful 3-4pm hunger pangs and now on the last leg through to my dinner so I have got through it. I can enjoy my 500 calories tonight

Might as well report in with another AFD day today as there is no way I would drink having not eaten all day, so 8/20 for me please Shaggy

I'm glad you had a good time HB. Did you get to eat on Brittany Ferries? Their buffets are epic and even the cafeteria meals are good. I'm another that loves cheese. Epoisses is a particular favourite.

I try to eat very little cheese at home but choose it instead of a pudding when I'm out. That way it doesn't call to me from the fridge.;)

Well done for getting straight back to things after your holiday sandypan.

    Glad you're feeling better satchmo.

    AF again today.

    6 AFDs please Shaggy.

ElusiveLucy, well done on surviving the hunger pangs! I had a surprisingly hard time with those this morning all the way through to lunch (which I suppose just goes to show how many snacky type things I usually eat!). Feeling better now and not as full as I usually do, which in fact is good. I should be feeling even better after my lentil soup dinner. Today was free cake day at work and I did snaffle a piece but will keep it till tomorrow. It's not terribly exciting cake though so it wasn't as big a sacrifice as it sounds! :)

Dizzy, how are you going? ... Btw don't feel you need to join in today if it doesn't suit, or avoid the same things (obviously).
