    30 days up for grabs!

    Everyone Welcome!!!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Hi all,

Lots of lovely posts to read this evening and a lot of food for thought. I had a few alarm bells go off this evening and it helped knowing I had a target and units to stick to. Decided it wasn't worth it and I have to be up early and as kids are under par, I might need a clear head in the night, so left it. Now feeling virtuous and safe in another AFD victory!!

I can identify with all that has been said today, too many to quote, but you have helped me stay strong and understand others reasoning behind alcohol too. I know I have felt disappointed when I wanted a glass of wine and offered whoever was with me a glass, they declined and then I felt I couldn't have one either in their company as it felt un-necessary, even though I fancied a glass. Silly really.

Another 1 AFD please Shaggy and a total of 12 for March. Very much under target, but stategies are in place for an improved April!

Yippee! I've done it! 31/31 for me! And I've lost 2lbs in weight too.

    Very happy indeed :D

9/12 please Shaggy. I've pretty much partied this month away. Must try harder, especially as I'd some bad news regarding my health, and the drinking won't help anything.

    20 for April pls

Well done, Piggles, I'm super-proud that you won the internal argument! I once said to myself out loud "shut up" because of the head-bickering. I do often talk aloud to myself to get through difficult situations. Sounds crazy, but it works for me so I don't care. Actually, I rarely worry what people think about my craziness! Target reached today with 27/27 AFDs

I'm going for 25/30 AFDs for April.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Sorry to hear that new me. Sending you a virtual hug:). And of course you're absolutely right that healthy eating and drinking always helps.

You are not alone satchmo. I talk to myself too.;)

AFD today as I went out for lunch with friends but pleasingly didn't carry on this evening.

AF yesterday so I finished the month on 11 AFDs. Quite pleased with that as although my targets are tiny compared with many of you they work for me. This month I didn't think I would reach it as far too much socialising. I set out to cut down and enjoy sensible, social drinking where I wouldn't misbehave or embarrass myself or others. I'm pleased to be there.

Thanks for all the scoring Shaggy You're such a star!!:T

One of my favourite sayings satchmo. I often say it my kids:)
New month new start and determined to reach my target.
Big thanks again to everyone for the encouragement; interesting to read all the comments about the reactions of others; I definitely know people who can be passively aggressive if you don't want to join them in a drink. I have to say in OH's defense though, he really isn't one of them! He will happily have a glass or two on his own if I want soft drinks and say no more about it; I just wish he wouldn't suggest it in the first place! It genuinely is the case with him that much of the time what I say to him goes in one ear and out of the other:o:mad::D
Anyway I'm boldly declaring my first1/20 super early today - elderflower cordial for me tonight :)
