    Morning All,

Clear Headed & off to the gym to run 5k and lift some weights.

Having a bit of a 70's dinner party tonight with a pimped up prawn cocktail starter and Steak Diane for main so it will be difficult but I can slip back to my excuse when I don't want to admit anything and say I'm on antibiotics for a dental infection. There is a particular antibiotic that is horrific when mixed with alcohol, primarily used in dental problems.

So bravely calling in 14/31 AF in advance of what potentially could be a boozy affair. I just have to keep reminding myself "alcohol robs me of tomorrows joy"

    Have a great saturday.

    5 AF please shaggy

DH and I have been off on leave this week, went on lovely spa(me) -golf (DH) break. I spent some serious time questioning my drinking and admitting/accepting that my 1 glass of wine in the eve has quickly escalated to 1 bottle of wine in the eve. I clearly have lost my use of the STOP button and came to conclusion that for now I'm an 'all or nothing' kinda gal, and for many reasons I need to go through a no drinking period which I started yesterday and successfully claimed another AF. Last night I felt so virtuous :A Today I woke late as had rubbishy sleep and already been through what SPS names so well as 'hankering and plotting' to drink today and it's only 11.30. Determined to get through the weekend AF

Honeybear Your words regarding stopping and starting really resonated with me and I agree with you, that's why I'm going to try to stop for longer periods.

Maman I am SO jealous that you got tickets for Adele:T I tried to get some for her Glasgow gigs but failed :( hope you had an amazing time

Dizzy :I'm sure the Easter bunny will forgive you!

I'd just like to reiterate what everyone else has said recently -like my boyfriend says- better out than in. Although he is talking about burping I'm not sure I would be AF for so long without this thread.
Now all I need is some of Stupotstus motivation to get to the gym!
    20/31 for today please Shaggy.[/B][/B]
Do I really need it? Probably not.:A

My motivation I sometimes need to dig deep for Smiley! It helps if you get your gym bag ready the night before so it really is just a case of "up & out". I also sometimes have a PT which means if I'm paying I definitely will go.
Also, you will feel brilliant afterwards. Additionally, as you hit those personal bests........"how long will it take me to run 2k?, shall I try 3k? How many calories burnt in 30 mins on cross trainer?" It massively motivates. I'm about to go to the gym myself this morning. Run 5k and do additional 45 mins cardio. 1hr 10mins out of an entire day. My entire wardrobe fits me at all times. When I quit smoking 9 years ago, I gained 10kg and the misery I felt for 6 months with nothing fitting and having to go up to a 34" waist was depressing, plus shirts tight across my belly

Dinner party passed easily last night. The pimped up Prawns were a great success & nice when you see people taking photographs of your food like it was a restaurant. I had a few Becks Blue. When people who are used to seeing you drink see you drinking something like a beer they accept it easier and it saves any big revelation.

Pub lunch today with Mr SPS' family so will remain AF, although I've already started thinking about a lovely cool pint of Peroni with lunch. Musn't weaken at the bar. And if I've already burnt off 1000 calories I can tuck in with gusto. :j

    Including today 15/31 AF.

Hope you all have a great Sunday.
