Reporting in early for tonight as I definitely won't be drinking:
March totals so far: AFD = 12, AD = 9, so 12/20 for me please
Onwards and upwards then eh? Thanks for your honesty though, you could have easily said you did Friday and i'd be none the wiser. Even though I was AF Friday, I consumed more than was sensible on Saturday and I woke Sunday for the first time in ages feeling really awful, sick and hungover. I was very annoyed with myself too.
Big concerted effort not to binge drink on non AF days and to do Mon-Thurs too this week.
Last night I watched the Tonight programme on ITV hub on the governments new Alcohol levels of 14 units. It was very interesting and gave me focus too. Worth a watch if you need motivation.
Anyway here is a fresh new shiny week. I'm calling early as I am confident, have no alcohol in the house and my purse is staying home when I do go out later. Monday's used to be my guaranteed safe day, I will get back to that now.Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
Afternoon :hello:
1 ALD for Friday and 1 AFD for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
I also sometimes have a PT which means if I'm paying I definitely will go.

I'll try and watch that programme. I would have been reasonably OK if I hadn't had 3 (large) drinks last night but that pushed me well over the 14 units. I used to have so much willpower, it seems to have deserted me!
I am going to go for Mon-Thur AF this week for sure and possibly Friday as well as I am out all day and will probably be driving. Definitely not drinking tonight as I am on a 5:2 fast day, or rather a 6:1 fast day as it seems to have been so far this year! What goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -

18/27 AFDs. Although I had wine on Saturday and Sunday, for a change I didn't binge.
In unrelated news, whilst test-driving a car today I had to take emergency evasive action to avoid a suicidal cyclist who came out of a junction at speed. The brakes on a the car were thankfully effective! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Got any tips on finding a good PT? I'm thinking about getting one.
Hey Shaggy
Well if you are London based there are going to be loads about. Finding a great one is hard though. My first one came recommended and I was with him for 18 months should you know anyone with a PT that they can recommend. Next one was a nice guy but didn't push me like number 1. Now on number 3 - still early days.
When picking a PT, Its not just the importance of the activities, it is also about getting on with them/sense of humour. There are all the periods in between when you're resting between sets and you have to converse and actually get on. Don't forget you may be spending a few hours a week with them.
Most PTs give a trial so don't be afraid to do that and see how you find it/them.
Be specific about what you want as well. I wanted to tone up shoulders, arms and abs and trim down body fat for an exotic holiday and had 7 weeks to do so but but loved the first PT so much I stayed on. Plus, it is 80% diet too. Booze is a No No!
If you already have a gym membership it is almost certain that there will be PTs working there.
Good Luck!
Meanwhile, MaggieSoup1 that must have made you gulp a bit! I could tell you dreadful stories of me at work as well. Maybe these comments will help you focus on being AF as unbearably difficult as it is. Sometimes it can take something like that to make us take heed.
Have made a full 7 days straight now. My best since january and taking me to 16/31 AF so far.
Good Luck!
