Perhaps people SHOULD talk about the reasons behind untimely deaths. For a variety of reasons, I wasn't able to talk about why my first husband killed himself for a long time and I know it contributed to my excessive drinking.

18/31 for me today please Shaggy x

March totals so far: AFD = 11, AD = 6, so 11/20 for me please

The test of the weekend lies ahead of me. Still not sure how I am going to start getting AFD between Friday and Sundays. I need a plan!

Lucy, I have a similar mindset to you on the Fri-Sun thing. I ended up having unplanned drinks last night with a friend who had opened some wine. I could have declined but I wanted to socialise and fancied it. So to make up for it I am not planning to drink tonight, even though I am going out.

We could do a deal together, out to support each other, we will stay AF. What do you think?

Sounds good to me, although I am not sure I want to go AF for the whole weekend. I was thinking of stamping it out on a sunday as it is effectively a 'school' night....just to start off with. Of course next weekend will be a major hurdle as I would normally drink Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon. If I can cut that down to 4 or even 3 nights I will be happy.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

Likewise I didn't mean the whole weekend, how about tonight we go AF and see how we feel on Sunday?

I'm trying to do Mon-Thurs AF, drink Fri/Sat depending on whether I'm driving or nothing or ALD on Sunday. However the best laid plans don't always happen :rotfl:

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I gave into Thirsty Thursday - and still feel the effects of the wine. I won't be tempted tonight because Parkrun tomorrow morning, but meeting lots of friends tomorrow and they all will be drinking, and I don't want to drink anything to make up for last night - I can only allow myself one AD this week. I am going to have to be very, very disciplined ...
