Also 'did a fruball' the other day and declared an early AF and then succumbed, excuse being meeting friends for a meal then all winds and accidents closed all motorways around Manchester and we ended up being two hours late.
Alex - am in awe of your determination and will power - keep going!
SPS - really sorry you're having a rough time, had an awful time with my OH over Xmas being grumpy and distant, thought we were coming to the end after 11 years, but he has rallied, still don't know what it was. Relationships, jobs etc all the same, just deciding on a day to day basis if the pros outweigh the cons.....good luck with whatever you decide.
WBF - boring name really, I am just a mad environmentalist!
:rotfl: Love "did a Fruball"
I am also spectacularly hungover today and in self destruct mode. My trigger is being out and passing the shop at a certain time of day so it is this that I must learn to avoid. Also, the great expanse of the evening looming. I am just so bored in the evenings.
Anyway, definitely will be AF tonight so 1 more for me please Shaggy0 -
Afternoon :hello:
1 more AFD.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

StuPotStu: Hope you and your OH manage to sort things out.2018 totals:

13/24 AFDs tonight, even though I'd planned to have a couple of glasses of wine. However, a painful exam at doctors has sent me to bed with a hot water bottle. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Well done Alex!
Fruball and 5YP, I hope you don't mind me saying, but it seems that drinking is filling in for 'being on your own', you are using alcohol to avoid being sober, alone, with your thoughts and ideas.
If this might be the case (and PLEASE forgive me if I am being too invasive, or just plain wrong) I really empathise. I think it takes a lot of work to realise and work out what a sober life looks like - I'm only just starting along that road and it is hard!
tonight I have had my last drinking night for the month and I must say that I feel a bit bereft - 'awwww no more booze for two weeks, it's not fair', Yet I didn't feel this in January when I was in the middle of a sober month. I didn't even question it. I need to reflect on this.Trying to keep in budget.
