Piggles good luck on your 3 in a row.
Shaggy, sorry to hear about your chocologic issue. I haven't used it yet but was reading about the food sharing app Olio, might be worth a try?
I had low drinking days Sat and Sun and then 2 AFDs yesterday & today so that's 11/14 for me please Shaggy.0 -

I'm not going to reach target this month, for March I'm thinking of setting whatever I make in Feb + 10 -
Hi everyone
Sorry not to have been on for a few days but having a tough time ATM. DH was taken to hospital on Monday morning with kidney stones and I've only just been keeping afloat. Seriously, I could do with a break from all the rubbish being flung in my direction. And I really need a holiday. Sorry, that sounds very selfish - I am, of course, waiting on DH hand and foot, although he's a PITA.
Had to trawl back to see when I last posted and although I've got half a glass of wine tonight (temptation proved just that too tough after everything), I am pleased to report one AFD, taking my total to 13/25.
March can't be any worse, but just in case, I'll set a lowish target of 17/31 please Shaggy.
Sorry chocolate cravings are getting you down Honey Bear. If it's any consolation, I've eaten a whole bag of Minstrels, at least 10 biscuits, a quarter of a cake that serves 8-10 people :rotfl: (smothered in cream), a BIG handful of mini eggs and a packet of polos! And I've still got a bally glass of vino. Arrrggghhh....0 -

Calling in early (to make a statement of intent!!) 19/23 for me today please shaggy0

Not an AFD for me today but looking forward to getting my smiley tomorrow.
Technically speaking I will reach my target on Friday and so don't need to consider Monday (the last day of the month) an AFD but what I want to do is switch Friday (day off work, and it should be an AFD) with Monday so I will drink on Friday and reach my target on Monday instead. Hope that makes sense. In other words my remaining AFDs for the month are tomorrow night and Monday night and that will take me to 15 days.0 -
I've just brought some Chocologic chocolate from Tesco - it is no added sugar chocolate - does that count? I haven't tasted it yet - so don't know if it's any good!! Might taste horrible!
EDIT : I have just realised it's full of artificial sweetnerI'll probably chuck it in the bin. Waste of money!
Technically I suppose it would be okay Shaggy, but what I'm trying to break is the cravings for sweet things that result in standing over the biscuit tin saying, 'Just one more' for half an hour while dipping into the Twinks. So, no, although I do allow myself the sugar in fruit and I'm far too pragmatic to give up the B3ck$ B1u3 for Lent, artificial sweeteners and sugar free chocolate would sort of defeat the aim. Stopping the B**** would be a very dangerous step too far, depsite what 'friends' tell me about its sugar content (which actually must be minimal as it's only 57kcals a bottle).Seriously, I could do with a break from all the rubbish being flung in my direction. And I really need a holiday. Sorry, that sounds very selfish - I am, of course, waiting on DH hand and foot, although he's a PITA.

It doesn't sound selfish at all, Dizzy. I'd have cracked well before now dealing with the pressures and the constant succession of disasters you're having chucked at you right now on a daily basis. Is there any way you can have a break and take a much needed holiday even if it's short? Or book one for Easter so that you can at least look forward to it?
And, to be honest, your collection of sugary treats sounds like just about the only thing that's keeping you going, especially as you've been so careful with the booze. You're coping brilliantl, so don't beat yourself up about needing a bit of self-indulgence to get through this chaotic period.
It makes me jibber with rage when people tell me I'll look back and laugh at this when I'm up to my armpits in crud, so I won't do that to you. What I will say is that when you look back, you'll realise that only a Super Human could have managed without chocolate, the bix, cake and wine. Thank goodness you're just mortal like all the rest of us. :A
24/29 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
AF last night and slept so well it was a joy. I'm calling in early as definitely not drinking tonight either. I want to hit that target and I'm ever so close now .....
