Oh, good - others thought the same as me ;) I was worried I'd offended someone.

My DH's in a delightful mood. He has just "wondered out loud" how long it will be before I get the shakes from alcohol withdrawal. !!!!!!? Seriously? Has he not noticed my consumption has decreased dramatically over the past few months. He's just waiting for me to fail on my dryathlon attempt. :(

Declined alcohol at lunchtime and am declaring early tonight. 2/31 please Shaggy

I think the interesting thing about the new govt. limits is they keep getting revised downward. I would expect that to keep happening in the future.

Anyway, sorry if I've caused any controversy  - I just thought people might be interested to see it!

The evening is still young but I am going to declare 2/31 anyway. :)

Your Mr is being a bit of a plonker Dizzy!

AFD 2 to add report here - we just watched the New Year's Sherlock on catch up - brilliant. DH had a glass of red wine but I didn't and didn't miss it. I also haven't missed caffeine too much but now I'm thinking that actually tea has caffeine in it, doesn't it?

Anyway, it's !!!! eye time for me...
    Trying to keep in budget.

    ...

That's true but less in tea than coffee as we tend to drink it more diluted.

I googled it and the values are approximately:

A 12oz cup of straight black tea has about 120mg caffeine
A 12oz cup of green tea has about 70mg caffeine
    12oz coffee contains about 210mg
12oz can of coke has 34mg

Amazing that coke is the lowest!!

    Yes. :)

I drink a lot of decaff tea (and coffee). I've got to really enjoy it.
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I am already feeling the benefits with two solid, unbroken nights of sleep followed by clear-headed mornings. Also, sometimes I think in life I can either drink or I can exercise - even a small glass of wine in the evening has subtle knock-on effects the next day in terms of making me feel lethargic in the mornings - it takes me so much longer even to just get up.

Have decided since a dry Jan followed by 15 AFDs every month adds up to 196 that I may as well round it up to 200 for the year.
