Final AFD for the whole of 2015 is 321 days, so less than 50 days I've drunk0

It's hard to know what best to advise piggles. I think you've done really well recently and proved that you can drink or not drink as you choose. What saddens me is that so many of the words you use are negative so particularly pleased that you recognise you've not ruined everything just by overindulging a bit last night. Sorry if this is the wrong metaphor but I really think you should try for a 'glass half full' approach in 2016 and search out all the help you can get to think positively.
Thanks mamanoh no, I didn't mean to come across as negative
I think it's the way I put things. I'm not negative, a realist maybe, and I keep any predictions about things going to be great/achieved very close to my chest until they've happened.
I suppose I'm a bit distracted with the impending move as well, and getting some kind of treatment, so my future is very up in the air at the moment and I don't even know where I'm going to end up.
It's very hard to not drink when all this is going on, so I think I'll set another medium target for January. I have done well I'll give it that, to not give in and keep going with AFDs. I remember reading everyone else's AFDs and I couldn't even manage one. But at least I know I can do it, with a bit of effort and the encouragement from being on the threadI doubt I could have done it without the support here.

Thanks Honey BearI often think I'd go back to how I was before given the chance, so it's hard work every day. 30 years of drinking because it's the only thing I knew hangs about as a temptation, presumably for a while.
But I managed another AFD
22/17 AFD please shaggy
And can I set January's target at one more, 18.0 -

Well done Barny :T
19/18 for tonight please.0 -
Wow Barny - that's fantastic! I know some of it was "enforced", but even so, it's an amazing total. I hope you're very proud x
Another AFD for me please Shaggy - 21/19 :j (I think). NYE might be heavy as it's DH's birthday, but once the New Year is ushered in I am AF for January.0 -
Thanks maman

I think you're right. It's the negative words that came across. I know what you mean about keeping things close to your chest. That's why I always set my target really low. I'd rather achieve that and then any more is a bonus. That works for me. But we're all different and others find a high, aspirational target works for them.:)
That's a brilliant total Barny, let's hope you have good health in 2016 too!:T0 -
Morning :hello:
4 more ALDs to yesterday.
Here in London we have lots of these!!!!
Nuts.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
My grandma died this afternoon after a short illness.
That's so sad.

:hello: Hi Everyone, I'm back to rejoin the group. Old habits have well and truly crept back in, I don't remember the last AF day I had and as a result my skin looks dull, I'm piling on the weight and sleep pattern continues to be rubbish. So enough is enough and I've decided to make a serious effort in Jan.
so Shaggy can you put me down for 10AF for Jan please.
Big hello to all 'the oldies' on here;) and I look forward to being part of everyone's journey.
