:hello: Hi Everyone, I'm back to rejoin the group. Old habits have well and truly crept back in, I don't remember the last AF day I had and as a result my skin looks dull, I'm piling on the weight and sleep pattern continues to be rubbish. So enough is enough and I've decided to make a serious effort in Jan.
so Shaggy can you put me down for 10AF for Jan please.
Big hello to all 'the oldies' on here;) and I look forward to being part of everyone's journey.
It’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts

17/20 AFDs. Apart from last night, Christmas has been fairly low alcohol. I'm not going to reach my target, unfortunately.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

hi Honey Bear and maman, and thanks for the welcome :) December will be over so soon that there doesn't seem too much point setting targets at this point but am aiming for a dry Jan so would like if I may to set a target of 31 days for Jan. :)

20/19 for last night please. Felt awful all day after drowning my sorrows when Grandma popped off, so tipped the rest of the wine down the sink in the morning. My kidneys ache today. I am so over binge drinking. Thanks for the words of support all you lovelies and for not judging me, even if I was rather pathetic.

Therefore, I do formally declare I am attempting a dry January  (obvs following a glass of bubbly at midnight)

Target set at 31 days for next month please Shaggy x

Hope everyone's slowly recovering from the festivities!

    Hi another oldie returning :o

Can you put me down for 31 please Shaggy.

Should be interesting target as I have not gone 4 days AF since about 1985.
  • Hi, am new to this and would like to join in please. Am aiming for 31 AFD for January - I find I drink wine every night pretty much and want to change this habit and hopefully lose a little bit of weight in the process.

    i did! 8 days AF :)

i do know now though that if i drink it's a conscious decision, not a giving in. a few months ago that would have been a habit and not so conscious perhaps.

Massive, huge congratulations! I'd also echo what Maman says, Piggles. Going eight days is a real achievement; one night of drinking doesn't negate the achievement.

Welcome back Mackeroo and Yellow Bird and welcome hr money!

    29/31 please, Shaggy.

If you're collecting targets for January already, I'm aiming for 31 please. Looks like I'll have a fair amount of company which always helps.
    Better is good enough.
