I'm finding calling in early in the day really helpful. The feeling of accountability is good for me. I know this thread is completely supportive and non judgmental but it matters to me when I've made the commitment. So decision made, so much easier than wavering around wine o'clock.

    2 AFDs please Shaggy.

Well done you - Always great to see your posts.

I have been thinking the same reading people saying 'What am I going to do in February'

Do whatever you WANT to do. If January has shown you that your life/health/wealth has improved without alcohol why on earth would you go back there if you didn't a) respect yourself b) crumble to peer/advertising pressure c) be addicted.

    Just my thoughts.
Think Ive decided what Im going to do in Feb :j

    Went out for a meal ... and didn't have a drink! 5/25.

Where's Alex and what have you done with him ;)

Seriously, you must be thrilled. Very well done. And keep going.

Sounds like a few corners are being turned as far as relationships with alcohol go, not wishing to put the kiss of death on these things, we know it's ongoing. :)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • All my good intentions went to pot here we are the 6th Feb and I have drunk every night for the past week.
Why do I do it, anyway I've been the doc's this morning for my blood pressure as I take tablets for it and I've gotta go for blood tests. I have them every six months or so but last time I went my liver function test was slightly raised and I was told to cut down on my drinking but guess what I haven't.

So let's start again this month I can still reach my target so I'm calling it early today as I have been having a bit of a think about life and my health

Today will be 1/12 for me please shaggy I am definitely not drinking today
As of 24th August 2016 total money owed was
    £15,708

[STRIKE]I am calling in early with 3/18, thanks shaggy[/STRIKE]

    :o Fail
  • Early call for me at 5/23 AF for me tonight, driving to play badminton match so can hardly drink after that now can I? (she says as if she never drank after badders in the past :()

Great to see so many losing weight as well - assuming they want to of course! Am getting on top of my particular eating issues. I just don't want to regain any more of the weight I lost when I cut down on alcohol. Is it just me who's never satisfied? ;)
