5/20 for tonight please.
I'm finding it easier the more days that go by not to drink.
By the looks of things most people are doing well this month :T0 -

Seriously, you must be thrilled. Very well done. And keep going.
Sounds like a few corners are being turned as far as relationships with alcohol go, not wishing to put the kiss of death on these things, we know it's ongoing.
:rotfl:.
I'm rather pleased with myself in all honesty. Whilst I do not wish to give up alcohol altogether, I am trying to live by my doctor's advice of saving it for special occasions given my health problems, which incidentally I am trying to take more seriously in an effort to beat my demons once and for all.
Also declaring 6/25 for today.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Very early shout for tonight please Shaggy 7/26 have wised up to the fact that an alarm call at 5.45am is much easier to handle after a sober night! & because it doesn't take as long to wake up Ive even managed to squeeze an extra 15mins in my pit
(alarm use to be 5.30am 5.45 sounds much better)
Is it me or have some people disappeared? Hope everyone ok x0 -
I am so pleased to report, after reading this thread for a bit, and getting encouragement, I have now had a whole week of alchol free. I have probably saved about £25 and that will go into the holiday kitty! Going to have a drink tonight to celebrate but wont have as much as I usually do. Thanks again You wonderful peep!0

An early call for me today working a 5pm till 3am shift later so today will be #2/12 AF :jAs of 24th August 2016 total money owed was
£15,708 :eek:0 -
Fruball - that was funny!:D
(Not funny that you had a drink, you know what I mean)
No more AFDs for me and I don't know how the weekend will pan out, but I won't overdo anything. I tried a low alcohol wine last night. It was from Banrock Station, so I thought how bad can it be. Quite bad it turns out. I mean it certainly wasn't totally unpotable, but it was quite sweet and not really like the grape varieties mentioned on the bottle at full voltage. But at 5.5%, it meant I only consumed 2 units.
Remember, I try these things so you don't have to.0 -

There are always those who find it difficult to post regularly and then appear with a big clutch of AF days to celebrate. But anyone who's slipped into lurk mode because they haven't done too well, remember it's not too late. It's never too late to make a change.0
