    19/31 please, Shaggy.

In the past when I've celebrated an achievement that involved saving money (which giving up the booze has done) I've looked forward to spending some of those savings on a treat. Sadly, once I actually got round to going to get the lovely thing I'd promised myself it often seemed the special thing wasn't available any more. So this time I decided I was going to let myself organise my treats 10 days or so in advance and went to M&S to get myself new bras and house trousers in my new smaller size. The bras were fine, no problem, but the trouser style I really wanted has had a makeover and they're now horribly uncomfortable, heavy and just plain yuk. I'm so glad I didn't leave that until the day itself; I'd have been gutted my lovely reward wasn't available and disappointment isn't a feeling I want on my happy day. (I think the people who design and buy for M&S just hate women nowadays.)

So, we went to the garden centre yesterday and found huge blue pots for the sundeck. Over the next few days there will be a lot of repotting, rearranging and working together to make what looks a bit scruffy at the moment look really fabulous.

All in all the final week should rather lovely.
    Better is good enough.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Then, after being offered a part-time job this evening, DH tells me I need to get more hours. I've been job hunting for months, and this is the first offer I've had, so of course I'm going to take it. Yes, I'll still be looking for work with more hours, but it'd be madness to turn this down while there's nothing else on offer. He makes it sound like I'm sponging.

This job might start to offer more hours in the future when they realize what a star you are ;):D

    Good Luck.

Shaggy, can I do the ALD challenge too please? I'm struggling with having AFDs as regularly as I'd like and as I'm falling behind, I'm getting disheartened. I am massively cutting down though, which for me is worth celebrating :j only two glasses of wine (not the whole bottle) yesterday. Graeme, I know I said one glass, IF I drank but two feels more manageable for me ATM ;)

Great. Changed you on the list.:)

    12/22 for tonight please.

Been thinking about the ALD's - what counts as low alcohol? Are you counting in units? Just curious and might look at that next month. Even though I only drink Fri and Sat night I'm still binge drinking sometimes according to my Drinkaware app :o

Another ALD for me - one glass of Merlot to accompany the red roses DH brought home with him after the gym session with his cousins.

10/20 for me! Thanks Shaggy - this feels more manageable for me and I'm more relaxed about things now x

I've been thinking about that too and would welcome other's views. I suppose like our AF targets it's all relative. Most cutters-down (myself included) would be delighted with your two days a week drinking.

For me: I have my planned drinking nights when I have whatever I fancy although pleased to say I've found my stop button and never go beyond one bottle (compared with when I started on a bottle+ every night of the week:o). Then there's the obvious AF nights. So an ALD would be when I go out and have a single glass and don't carry on at home later.
