Morning :hello:
No AFDs to report.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

23/28 AFDs today for me0

I really am very tempted by the idea of Irish Coffee. Not for now, but after the 100 Alcohol Free Days thing is done. Is there anything that anyone can think of that will stop me thinking it would be okay?
The trouble is I didn't go through any kind of withdrawal stopping drinking and I absolutely don't want to go back to the way I used to live, but I am finding it very difficult not to want that Coffee at some point in the future.Better is good enough.0 -
26for me today please Shaggy - I know I won't be having a drink this evening.
As for November - I think back to 15, which we usually managed in previous months.
I like Maman's comments. I don't want to be a giver upper, i too enjoy a social drink - but like you say be in control of alcohol, not it be in control of me.
At the moment I'm enjoying my sober October but am looking forward to next Saturday, a trip to the local is planned.
I hope i will learn something from my October challenge, like Maman says, I will decide when and how much to drink, to enjoy it & not feel bad about it the next day. Other days I may have to use some willpower not to have a drink. I do agree with the comments about the anticipation of the drink to come, it's in the afternoon that I think i fancy a drink for whatever reason - if i get past that I haven't really been bothered in the evening (most days).
Anyway good work everyone. And good luck with whatever challenge you're on this week.0 -
Hello,
Shared two bottles of red wine last night with other half. Had dinner together and he read me his eulogy he will be reading at his Mothers funeral. Sad Times. I think we needed just one night be to normal again in the middle of this horrible time.
Back on track tonight. 10 AF
Good Luck to everyone for the coming week!
