13/20 AFDs today. Mostly a very good and productive day. Took mum for her follow up consultation at the memory clinic, where she was told she doesn't have dementia, and that for her age (85) her brain scan is good.

Whilst it's great that the brain scan was so good, if it's not dementia then is the deterioration that is evident really anxiety/pain? Mum didn't remember seeing today's consultant back in June - that isn't her "normal".

Mum and I went for lunch at a great cafe called the Mad Hatters Tea Pot. I had a useful chat with the waitress that enabled me to leave leaflets with her for World Vision UK (a charity I am an Ambassador for).

Then this afternoon I got some tasks done that had been overdue, so had been playing on my mind. I also got mum to help by writing my name and contact number on a couple of dozen leaflets. The tasks related to being an Ambassador. This is good for me, because it's for me

Tonight I refused to clear up after dinner, which DH was asked to do. He "misunderstood", but cleared up when he was helped to understand (no shouting was involved, honest).

Hope everyone's had a good day. Hugs if you haven't.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Just checking in but I'm on the same number of days still. Two nights out and then last night I used a bad day at work as my excuse.

I have slept better and drunk less each evening though.
  • Morning Everyone 23/31. I am also planning a busy weekend ahead as a) I've worked everyday this week at my new job but loved it and b) just want to stay AF :)

    Take care, Penny

    5/13 please Shaggy.

Had a wobble yesterday as I was really craving a Baileys but I stayed strong and made a hot choc instead.

    Have a good day everyone.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
