Miserable fail last night - 2 glasses of wine

Don't beat yourself up, just a minor hiccup.

Stopping after two glasses, now that's hard.

    Today's a shiny new day :A

Good for you for saying so - I'd creep off and hide somewhere with the rest of the bottle.

Thanks for chipping in with the headache discussion, Alex. It's helpful to know other people go through the same things. Do you think it was caffeine?

I find herb teas just a tad revolting, Jake (sorry) because they taste like hay to me, but I love fruit tea. Preferably raspberry - almost impossible to get hold of a good one now (I've been drinking them for about 25 years) - blueberry, blackberry and to pep me up at the moment, a ginger bag flung into the pot with a couple of darker fruit ones. Coffee in the morning, fruit teas in the afternoon.

You're right about planning something to celebrate the 100 Day Goal. I'm really, really bad at that kind of thing. (It would be a bottle of champagne, obviously, but ....) However, yesterday I found a one day course at Liberty in London I'd absolutely love to do, but it was booked full by the time I discovered it. The person I spoke to said they will be putting next year's courses up after the new year, so I'm going to set some money aside to do it then. It'll be hefty - trainfare, possible overnight stay (I'm in Plymouth and getting to Liberty's by 10.30 am would mean catching a train at 5.40am *bleurgh*), the course fee and something beautiful from Liberty as a magnificent reminder of an genuine achievement. Delayed gratification, but something to really look forward to, learning how to do something I want to be able to do, and it gives me a bit more time to find enough to cover the costs.

    9/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Disappointed that I've gained a couple of pounds. I know it's come from my holiday and the family birthdays in September but I'm not best pleased!

I feel your pain. I gradually put on about four pounds over the summer months. I've been really very very good (or so I thought) over the last two weeks but scales say STS :(
