What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Absentmindedly poured myself a lovely long gin and tonic last night - highball glass, masses of ice, chunk of lime - and gulped down that first huge belter of a mouthful without a second thought. Then I realised what I'd done, and thought, 'Oh well, I'll finish this one and won't have a second.' Then I realised I'd have to start the whole 100 Day thing again right from Day 1 - or lie about it and carry on as if nothing had happened, knowing I'd cheated.

Words cannot express just how relieved I was this morning when I woke up and realised that was a dream.

    True story, though. Horrible.

Morning, Thanks jake2 for you reply, I must admit I did have a wobble mid week when I could easily have reached for a large white wine (then the bottle & another....) however, I didn't. I breathed deep and found something else to occupy me. Although I'm doing Sober October, my last drink was the 28th September so its been a while for me. I have noticed some physical changes already ie. my stomach isn't as bloated :)

Also, I have been cooking every night for the family. I would do this mostly anyway but when I had my binges I would just order pizza deliveries or Chinese and spend a fortune! So not only good on waistline but also my purse at the mo. My children haven't said anything but hubby looks like he has lost his best friend. We always drank together (usually ending in a row) and now he seems to be doing Sober October with me. However, I haven't said once that he shouldn't drink.

I also adore wandering around Harrods, such a luxurious place.

    Anyway, 11/31 for me please.
