Another AF here please! On a roll, but tomorrow is the dreaded Friday night...we'll see how it goes.
As long as i am not drinking to excess, or drinking during the week, i am in a better position than i was. However, i do want a dry weekend.

16/31 here. Payday and a visit to Asda and all I bought was two packets of asparagus and a magazine for Top Boy. Unheard of! :D
  • (((Hugs))) 365days - a radical hysterectomy is incredibly invasive surgery - you are very brave to have come through with a smile.

Try to take it easy and rest so that your body can recover. I hope that all the post op results are good ones. Sending happy sparkly positive vibes. Your blog is brilliant - you helped me a lot when I needed to put the alcohol down - I'm sure your blog is helping other people.... keep writing :)

Well done everyone on here - it's a lovely thread to read through and be inspired. And what is it about the dreaded Friday night?? I still have to watch myself on a Friday night... :o

Jo1972 you have done a runner :( come back and begin again

I'm so glad to see you back 365, I really hope you recover well nad as quickly as possible.
Your blunt talking can be very effective on a thread like this - often we might not like what we hear but it makes an impact, which is what some of us need.

I'm calling today as AF again, it's early but I won't be drinking. I'm home alone with the children (DH off for work) so I never drink. Also I am quite enjoying being AF at the moment, I feel more active and engaged with life, which must be good.
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Hi All

Just checking in to say 9/20 AFD, should have gone to work xmas party tonight but have had a difficult week or so and am so tired decided to not go and the bonus is I have not had a drink!!!

DH and I may treat ourselves to a nice bottle of wine on Saturday night but should still make my total for the month.

    Hope everyone is ok

16/32 tonight and over halfway through Dryathlon. I'm on lime and soda tonight and finding that it replaces wine quite nicely.

I'm working from tomorrow for 6 days including being on call over the weekend so it'll be fairly easy to stay AF.

I'm out next Friday for a colleague's leaving do. Normally, I get DH to drive me so I could have a drink. I'm going to drive to resist temptation as I don't drink at all if I'm driving.

Thinking ahead to Feb and planning to stay AF Monday - Thursday and drink (but less) Friday - Sunday. If I'm working at the weekend we'll have an AF week. Sounds like a plan.

Good to hear from you 365, take care of yourself, and accept offers of help from visitors, even if it's things like emptying a waste-paper bin, but especially ironing (my pet hate). Hugs xx

16/31 AFDs for me. DH said he was hearing the wine bells at dinner tonight, and he drinks less than I did. Good job there's none in the house.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
