3 more AFDs now so 10/18 now please Shaggy.
Have not had a good September with drinking. My stop button seems to be stuck!
Have a terrible hangover today. Went out for a nice meal and had a G&T and a few glasses of wines. I'm mostly annoyed with myself thought that I came home and finished off half of bottle of wine. Haven't done that for a while. Feel shocking today, am really drifting in to bad habits again.0 -

ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

any one supporting you on this HB xx
This thread! It's massively important to me.
I also read quite a few sober blogs and I signed up for Belle's 100 Day Challenge from the blog Tired of Thinking About Drinking. She's very, very supportive and I'm finding it very helpful.
OH is supportive and doesn't mind being handed my glass of bubbly when people want to celebrate - and he's a happy drunk. I'm not sure I ever was, really. He's reduced his alcohol consumption by about two-thirds, so its a win win situation for us both.
I can't stand the thought of sitting round in a dusty village hall at an AA meeting - I'm sure it's a wonderful organisation and it works for a lot of people, but unless I could find a women-only group (none locally) it wouldn't work for me. (I'd be grateful if no-one offered 'helpful' advice about that - I know myself and what works for me pretty well.)
My aim was to see if I could get to 100 days, initially. It's been 57 so far and although I don't feel complacent about it, it gets easier for me.
How about you? It sounds as though you spend quite a lot of time on your own, and that doesn't suit everyone.Better is good enough.0
