As I'm on the thread right now, although there are other people who are more qualified than me, I'll just say Jake2 that in my case, I've been alcohol free for 17 days this month, with a target of 30 days for the whole of September, so 17/30 so far this month. (In the real world, that's Day 54 Sober.)
    Better is good enough.

Yeah, Jake2, I am intending to only drink a maximum of 4 times this month, currently I have had 16 AFDs, so have drank twice this month.

13/20 for tonight please. I always find SNC ok - it's just the weekends that are more of a struggle. Although when I do drink it's loads less than before.

  • Well done Jake2! That's quite a run - when I get to the stage where I'm not really bothered about counting the number of days I'll be very happy!
    Better is good enough.

Those figures are based on targets they've set for themselves at the start of the month. So as Barny explained he has a target of 26 for September (allowing himself 4 drinking days) so 16/26 means he's had 16 AFDs so far. For a 'giver-upper' like you it would be a target of 30 for September so you'd be 18/30 to date (apologies for the unfortunate score tonight).

I almost wavered tonight. Had an easy night in front of TV planned and though a few glasses would be nice as I have a busy weekend ahead. But then I thought I have to get to target and beyond before I go away for the last week of the month. So I stuck to the trusty mug of tea.:D
