No alcohol for me on Thursday or Friday so now up to 14/16 please Shaggy
I did Parkrun yesterday and that was very effective at making sure I didn't drink at all on Friday night as I knew I wouldn't be able to manage it if I did and I really want to get back into my running.
Bought a bottle of white and just had half of it last night and will have the other half tonight, seeing as it's a Bank Holiday. Feeling positive and in control this weekend.
Hope everyone is enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend!0 -
Good morning! It's lovely here - full sun but not too hot. I drank on Friday and Saturday evenings. Friday I shared a bottle of red wine with DH and Saturday we went out for a curry and I had just 2 small glasses of wine (200ml to be exact!). it was a late night though so feeling a bit foggy this morning. I'm going for a run later so that will help shake to cobwebs out I think. Have a lovely Sunday everyoneTrying to keep in budget.

15/20 and it suddenly seems very achievable!
I will be drinking tomorrow as Top Boy is sleeping at his godmother's and I am going out to watch the football, but I'm trying to go easy in the calories so I reckon I'll stick to wine and not overdo it0 -
12/20 AFDs, but I went overboard again on Friday AND Saturday.
I know Friday was stressful, but I really shouldn't "self medicate" as it doesn't work: just leads to disrupted sleep and a hangover and feelings of self-loathing... so why did I repeat it on Saturday night??What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
24/31 please, Shaggy.
I have to say that for a brief moment or three I rather missed having the usual Sunday night pre-dinner G&T tonight, but after a large pineapple and coconut juice, not the red wine. It's a sort of progress in a doubly calorific kind of way because I had a second one while I was doing the washing up; 800ml of fruit juice in one evening. Fortunately coconut water is v. low cal compared to regular fruit juice, so only 400 cal the two of them, but that's getting on for a bottle of red equivalent, and there is no saying that would have been all I drank. Still, if I only do it once a week, and it means I don't miss the vino, a positive I think. Or hope, anyway.Better is good enough.0 -
15/16 AFDs now please.
I was planning to drink last night but when it came just didn't feel like it. I'll probably have a drink today at some point, being a Bank Holiday.
I've signed up for a 10k race in 4 weeks time  I've never quite run that distance before, so I'm hoping that the training will help keep my alcohol consumption down!0 -
Good luck for the training and the race, Chardonnay. I'll be (virtually) cheering you on.
It being a bank holiday, I've taken the time out to book a load of guided walks and a few other local things I'd like to do, some of them with OH and some of them on my own. These are things I've been wanting or meaning to do for years, but never got around to booking and I've therefore missed out. I also think that being hungover, or feeling guilty for drinking too much while I've been reading up on events may, in the past, have stopped me from committing to doing things I've actually wanted to do. So, I'm glad I've actually done something positive and that some of it is stuff OH wants to share with me (he's a bit of a workaholic). The bonus is - none of them involve drinking!Better is good enough.0 -
20/26 AFDs today0
