10/14 thanks shaggy
Hope everyone is doing grand! Had first alcohol free weekend in months and it didn't hurt one bit - was a busy wknd but still cant decide if i drink through, habit, addiction, boredom or whatever other issues are lurking! Prob all of the above! However I did consume 4 big packs of midget gems over wknd - at least it wasn't wine gumsand I reached double figures which is way better than I've done in months so am looking at it glass half full
When I don't drink in the evenings I can't sit still and have to be doing something so got a few things done that ive been putting off for ages!

ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

26/31 for August, please Shaggy.
And 30/30 for September please.
I hope it's okay to put both figures in the same post, Shaggy. I'm hugely grateful to you for doing all of the work on this thread, so thank you very much. Without posting every day, I'm not entirely sure it would be as straightforward to stick to the new regime.
Well done on exceeding your targets, too, and Maman.
We went out last night for Wevverspoon's steak deal (it's virtually next door), often the only time during the week that OH and I have a night out together. It's the first time we've been since I stopped drinking, and in the olden days we had the bottle of wine with the steaks deal. It seemed perfectly okay for OH to have a pint and I had a JtwoO, which was a bit sweet but drinkable. Each of these hurdles still seems like an achievement. I'm rather hoping the day will come when I can take it all in my stride and not give it a second thought, but I'm scared that will be the day someone will put a glass of wine in front of me and I'll just take a swig without pausing for thought.
I also took the NCADD test yesterday having read a tiny bit about it on a couple of blogs I'm finding helpful. Very salutary.Better is good enough.0 -
I have to confess that I wasn't AF as planned. I don't feel too bad as I only drank leftovers!:D So very mse. No real reason, I just fancied a drink.
I'll sort my total out by being AF tonight.
Put me down for my usual target of 10 please Shaggy.
I'm away on holiday in the last week of September but intention is to get to target well before then.0 -
For September, I'd like to aim for 22/30 please.
Back to work, so shouldn't be too hard to stay on the straight and narrow (famous last words...) Also, I want to lose some serious lard before Christmas so fewer empty alcohol calories will help there.
Well done all nearing/achieving their targets!0
