Do any of you who don't use targets have any thoughts to offer on how it works for you. I seem to need the reward of setting a target and then going for it. I even put gold stars on my calendar at home. For some reason getting the second of Shaggy's jumpies is a motivator that really works well for me - it's very odd but true.
I'm convinced that I would do exactly the same as you if I didn't have a target. Shaggy now routinely puts me down for 10 each month and I'm determined to 'meet it or beat it'. It's become part of my conscience but I'm not sure I wouldn't ignore it if it wasn't on here IYSWIM.
I'm going to give some thought to the allure of the second jumpy;) I wonder if it would work for me.0 -
Thank you Wanna Bee Free and Maman for your kind words.
I have no idea how many days earlier this month were AF, but yesterday became Day One, so it will be six by the end of July.Better is good enough.0 -

Hi everyone and welcome to Honey bear :hello:
I am adding another one tonight so 12/TF for me now. I really want the second jumpy so I need to rack up another 2 and have 4 days to do it so no excuse really!
Have a good week everybody x0 -

That's a really good start if you've had some AF days already. I'd suggest you keep posting and then set your target (31:eek:) for August.0 -

Morning all and welcome to honeybear :hello:
Had a bit more alcohol than I should have at the weekend - it was a beer & cider festival at our village pub so no driving involved and I made the most of being able to go out and socialise without being the one doing the driving .
Back on the wagon today though and declaring early on 11/12 AFD's.
Well done Barny on smiley number 3 :j0 -

So, being given permission to be presumptuous - 31 for August , please. I'll go back and read as much of the thread as I can later today to help with the mindset.Better is good enough.0 -
Good luck honeybear.:)
:TBarny on getting to number 3 smiley. I'm all the more determined to get to number two.
I didn't drink to excess at the weekend but my face is a bit puffy this morning. Not a good look. So definitely no booze today and I'll try to drink plenty of water.
12 AFDs please.0 -
Good luck for the rest of July and for your 31 in August Honey Bear!
I overdid it a lot on the wine and am feeling rubbish at the moment. First hangover this year (I think) and it's not good. We're on holiday in a fab all inclusive resort and had wine with lunch and I then kind of kept going. Not pretty 12 hours later.
I can resist anything except temptation - there is so much booze and food everywhere here I'm going to be tempted all the time for the next fortnight! Must count better, they top up the glass as they come round and I lost count completely oops! No harm or bad stuff happened as a result at least, OH and I had a lovely time it's just I'm paying for it now.0 -
Calling today, 22/27 AFDs today0
