I'll be joining you all again on Monday, it's my birthday weekend and I'm out for the next three days so I'll be looking for a major cut down after that...

Happy Birthday Top Girl, hope you have a great weekend celebrating! :)

Well an unexpected 14/20 for me please. Had been looking forward to a glass of wine all day yesterday but when it came to it didn't really fancy it so didn't bother. Maybe psychology as I'd told myself I could have a drink last night so wasn't denying myself and then didn't want one in the end :)

I'm joining you if I may, as of yesterday. Friday night was the turning point and I no longer want to live like that. Alcohol-free from now on.

Welcome to Honey Bear, I hope you find this thread as useful as so many of the rest of us do! Good luck and if you want to set a target for this month or next then when Shaggy's back she'll add you to the list.

Maman, Chardonnay and everyone else well done!

Maman, I read your post about SW with interest. I find that not only do I choose different foods after my inhibitions have been lowered but I crave all the wrong foods the next day. I also was drinking enough wine every day to mean that as I've been doing 14 days a month until this month I've lost a few pounds. Plus I successfully completed a couch to 5K running app over 10 weeks and got to the point where I could run 30 mins at once so that helped too. And as I've drunk more this month 3 lbs have crept back on.

I have no more days to report. I was hitting my target of 14 consistently each month since December. I decided to loosen the plan in July with the sunny weather and with no target I have drunk more and more often. I have certainly felt less energetic, and I have noticed an effect on my sleeping patterns too. Plus my weight has crept back up by 3 lbs.

Do any of you who don't use targets have any thoughts to offer on how it works for you. I seem to need the reward of setting a target and then going for it. I even put gold stars on my calendar at home. For some reason getting the second of Shaggy's jumpies is a motivator that really works well for me - it's very odd but true.

So the other thing I've learnt is that exactly at the point I thought I'm in control, do I need the list any more, I can loosen things up it all went out of the window so I need to be extra careful when I think I have things sorted.
