1/21 AFDs today. I did browse the wine aisle, but didn't succumb.

Took mum to the opticians for an eye test and she now has cataracts in both eyes. The opticians will write to her GP to ask them to refer her to hospital for treatment.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    Hi
Well I finished off May on a high, without a drink, which actually took me two over target for the month, but have started off June with two bottles of ale. Not so good. But it was sunny and I had worked hard all day, gardening, making bread, chutney, running kids around etc, etc. Excuses, excuses eh! I enjoyed sitting in the sun with a beer but it makes this month's target all the trickier. But I will give it my best shot.

Well done to everyone for May. You all did astonishingly well. Smashing in fact.

Back to work tomorrow. Chin up.

    Kind regards
    Slowdown:)

    Good morning everyone

Just after reading through your posts...inspirational as usual :) I love the positivity of how everyone deals with life's crossroads :)

I ended up 2 down on my target for May BUT im delighted at that :j

Shaggy could you please mark me down for 1/23 for June.

Im away now for 3 days on a little break so I will be surprised if I have any more AFDs to report before Friday morning.

I hope everyone has a great week :)

Back on the wagon today. I'm always pleased to be AF and sometimes wonder why I enjoy a drink so much at weekends?? The trouble is I don't spend long enough wondering.:o

chardonnay, it sounds like you're deliberating whether it's better to not bother. You're making good inroads into AFness. Having soft drinks at the pub is an acheivement, so much more difficult than being AF at home IMO. Well done.:T

Definitely won't be drinking tonight as I'm out and driving.

    1 AFD please Shaggy.

Maman, that is exactly how I feel - sometimes I look forward to Monday just so that I can have a 'day-off' alcohol & yet every weekend I do the same thing all over again :o

    Have a lovely break away 5-year :)

Will definitely be AF tonight so that gets me off the mark for June at 1/12 please shaggy

Don't worry about STS - as long as it's not a gain! Well done on your booze free total - very impressive!

Thanks.:D I would really love to lose another 7 pounds before my holiday. But I feel great so if I don't that would be ok too. With not eating and not drinking I feel quite rich! And I have also been able to resurrect "old" clothes. There are some old favorites that I still can't get into though....must keep trying :D

    Hi All

Well I didnt' manage any more AF days in May so failed miserably. I am really going to try hard for June. I have added a couple extra into my target to keep me covered in case of any wobbles. I dont know whether to try the sorelle, kinda defeats the purpose in my eyes. DH is working tonight which always helps, I have now told him no more wine through the week so don't ask or "surprise" me with a bottle. I can do this again so declaring tonight early AF 1/24 please Shaggy :D
