Had 1 small glass of wine with meal out this eve. Very civilised. But of course still on 6/18.
I'm on a starvation HB. Lots of lovely things planned with the kids. Weather holding well too.Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
5/12 please. I am pleased with this as yesterday there were a couple of things that I know are triggers including being on leave (therefore a drink "should" be part of being on holiday) but I decided I didn't really want it.
Poor single lady - I here with Honeybear - if we start not being honest with ourselves then this thread is not helpful. Very easy to clock up AFDs and still drink but what does that achieve? (Looking for head scratching smiley). I don't think I will achieve 4AFDs this week as I am on leave but posting here still helps. In February I stopped posting for a while and the number of days I was drinking increased so keeping going and posting honestly seems the way forward to me! Good luck with next date too!0 -
6/12 for today please Shaggy0

I am however inspired by your advice and support and plan to attend a work party later this month AF. Which I think is a good starting point- oh and I believe there will be a free bar so I'm giving myself points for resisting that! Thank you again.
That's the point PSL. It's both a giving up/cutting down thread. If you want a drink when you go out on a date then that's fine unless your plan is to give up altogether. I think the problem would arise if you started going on dates every night of the week and had a hangover every day. That wouldn't be healthy but we've been there.:o That's the thick heads not the dates!:rotfl:
Just be honest. If you want to cut down then I think having a plan when you'll drink is helpful. Then you can go out and enjoy it instead of feeling guilty. I forget the name of the person who posted regularly a few months back. She seemed to have such a high bar that if she ever had a drink she beat herself up over it. I think she probably wanted/needed to give up. I respect givers up but I don't want to be one.
I managed an extra day yesterday.
