In theory, that's what I do too loveasale but what's 'special' has extended a bit. :o

When I worked full time I rarely had time to socialise midweek. Instead I'd drink at home every night as my reward after a long day. Hence drinking getting out of hand. Now I've stopped drinking at home midweek but I do have time (and invitations) to go out midweek so I do. I suppose in theory I should have AFDs at weekends if I stay at home to balance it but I tell myself (and it's true) that I now drink far less on nights out so I'm happy.

I didn't drink last night but sorely tempted. In the city centre, happy football fans everywhere but I forced myself to come home and have a cup of tea. Not sure about tonight as holiday is calling and I'm having to be very disciplined. Although we're not away until the weekend I'll be out each evening except Thursday. .

I love this post! Sorry to hear you're being tempted so much, Maman ;), but I just love how sociable and busy you are! Is life worth living when you're a bit older - you betcha!

I went out last night with a friend to see Dr Phil Hammond (big fan, he was even better than I'd hoped) at a tiny, tiny village a long way off the beaten track in Cornwall. We had a meal in a fabby pub and then saw him at a community arts centre in a wonderful converted decommisioned church. All this is by way of saying that even in the most unlikely of places Be*ks Bl*e is available. G asked if she could try a sip of mine at the pub (I always say yes) and during the interval at the volunteer run bar in the arts centre, she ordered one for herself. If anyone is trying to cut down and can't stomach an evening on sugary drinks, please try it. So far every single person who's asked for a sip of mine has gone on to buy themselves some and incorporated it into their lives, but it hasn't stopped them enjoying booze.

    7/30 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

Now at 2/14 after going out for an impromptu meal last night, so sadly I even missed the SNC target of 3 I set for this week. I must do better next week. Will try for an AFD today to make up, although I'm not feeling convinced in my head yet.......must focus!
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

I have been tempted to try BB Honey Bear as I definitely struggle with sugary soft drinks but I am more of a cider or wine drinker and not so keen on lager - don't mind it occasionally on a hot Summer's day or with a curry but not my drink of choice. Might give it a go when I am out next and struggling to find something non-alcoholic to try ;)

4/12 for last night please Shaggy

Have a great weekend all :T

Glad you enjoyed your evening HB. I asked my friend Google where you'd been. I've been to Morwellham many, many times so know the area. What surprised me is not so much that they sold it in the pub but in the Arts centre too. But on second thoughts it's a great idea to cater for drivers (and giver uppers;)) in an out of the way spot.

Successfully completed the SNC last night:). I'm now officially on holiday although not away until next weekend. I may have some AFDs in the coming week but not going to worry if I don't.

    4 AFDs please Shaggy.

Afternoon all, change of plan as a friend of mine asked me for drinks at lunchtime, so 6/21 is now postponed probably until Sunday.
