Morning :hello:
1 more AFD for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

7/12 AF for me for last night. Off on hols tomorrow so not sure what I will be doing from the alcohol point of view. Back on Monday so won't be too long a lapse if I succumb :rotfl:0

I heard an interesting discussion on the radio last night. Happened to be about nutrition (changing to healthy eating) but could just as easily be about AF. Gist of is was people beating themselves up about craving and falling off the wagon. The message from the 'expert' was cut yourself some slack, be kinder to yourself, you're not going to get a life changing decision 100% right all in one go. So true.
Enjoy your break Karen.:)
No drinking planned for today.
4 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -

I had the 'I've lapsed so I might as well do it again urges this afternoon but rode them out and am AF tonight. So 6 out of 28 for feb onward and upward
It happens, NSW, so well done for realising that was then and this is now. It's writing off all of the successes because of one slip up that's the mistake.I've not thought of drinking what so ever tonight,,,,, I knows it's only one night ,, but for me it's a big thing ,,,
Brilliant, Loveasale! It's quite a major shift when it happens and you're right to celebrate it because it is a Big Thing.I heard an interesting discussion on the radio last night. This. Such a help to know that it's exactly what Shaggy's been saying in her sig, to help ram the message home. We are so hard on ourselves, and we write off all of our achievements because of just one slip if we're not very careful.
I forgot to mention, thanks for the information on why women find sleeping through problematic, Shaggy. I hadn't heard that before. At the moment (touch wood) I'm okay with it, but I know pretty much all the women I've known when they get to a certain age (at least 70+) say that sleeping through the night is problematic.
However, I also heard that when people who end up at a sleep clinic which means they must be having serious problems to have got that far, are told to give ALL caffeine. No decaffinated coffee, only caffeine-free tea, no hot chocolate, no energy drinks etc etc - 50% of patients report their sleep problems disappear. *!!!!!!* Gone. I always think I'm virtuous drinking decaff coffee, but it's just lower, not caffeine-free.
8/28 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0
