declaring early tonight - 7/26 - as just made self a cup of tea so know won't drink tonight. Plus no wine in the house which is really all that tempts me at home - there is beer and spirits - even though I like those, I don't feel the need to crack a glass in the same way I do wine.

    Good luck everyone

  • Blimey, get well soon scatterbrain. That must've been quite a shock.

I was AF last night and tonight, so I think I'm up to 5/15 please.
  • Thank you all for your kind comments.
It now feels easier to not drink because I have a compelling reason, apparently alcohol enhances the effects of warfarin making the risk of bleeding even higher.
The health advice is that you can have a maximum of 1-2 glasses of wine daily but not go over the recommended 14 units weekly. I can't stop at 1-2 glasses, when a bottle is open it is open until it is empty and it's easier not to drink than to aim for that degree of self discipline!
Shaggy, can you put me down for 9/28 please

  • JO ,, that thing about the open bottle is so true with me too!!
Yet any other drink I can have one , take or leave ,,,,
Seems strange to me that so many of us are the same when it comes to wine , and the open bottle policy ??
