Morning all, 8/21 for me today.0

I wobbled a bit tonight for the first time in 9 days. I didn't cave but ive been munching a lot tonight. Ive been trying to work out the reasoning for my tuesday wobble.
The first wine thought crossed my mind as i parked the car on the driveway. It was 5.30pm and i was tired and hungry.. habit. I got on with jobs and ate a snack whilst i sorted kids out etc. Poured myself an oj and tonic, i wanted something fizzy. By 6.30pm we'd eaten and I'd tidied away and most chores were done. The craving had passed as i was full from my dinner. Ive eaten quite a lot of sugar this eve, i guess thats replacing wine. Although up until tonight i haven't had to do distraction, replacement or analysing. Im not sure if I'd had wine in the house if it would be a different outcome.
Well done on not indulging, Cuppa Tea. It's getting past those evenings when wine (or whatever) is on our minds without giving in to it that are a bit of a toughie. Working out what triggered it plays a huge part in lessening the impact of the next time too and each of us has our own triggers. Don't worry about the sugar, you can cut that back at a later stage.Green_Karen wrote: »Thanks so much to everyone and your encouragement! It's been so helpful to see that other people have been where I am and are now doing so well. That gives me a lot of hope.
Your comment triggered a lot of interesting discussion I thought, GK. I'm glad it was helpful because everyone's experience of this is different but as long as we keep cheering each other on it seems to work.
OH had a truly terrible night's sleep on Monday night, hardly got any at all. Nothing to do with the vast amount of booze he sank on his 70th birthday (on Friday), or the following night (Saturday) when he drank even more. Oh no. No, it was the amount he ate on Monday night, apparently. Tummy too full. Absolutely, my handsome one.
11/12 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

Afternoon :hello:
2 more AFDs for Monday and yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Hi all, my daughter is on a school trip this evening not returning til 11.30 (what's the betting it will be later than that!)
I'm on Mum Cab duties so on that note I'm calling an early 11/31
Also a big thank you to Shaggy and all posters on this thread, I find seeing my total written down and reading everyone else's posts really helpful and definitely keeps my motivation going0 -
11/31 for tonight please.0

11AF tonight please.
Had my first wobble earlier this evening. My DW is away working and I thought 'I could have a sneaky one!' I don't think I even particularly wanted one just realised I could! Even at 44 there is that child in me, like the one reaching into the biscuit tin.
Sipping a diluted orange and fizzy water, and quite happy with that!0
