    I ended December on 15

That's what I had you down for, Scatterbrain. It's a huge achievement in the trickiest month of the year, too - 15 more than I managed in 20 years.

Don't be too downhearted if the first few nights are a bit lumpy sleepwise. It took my body quite a while to get into the habit of just staying asleep but once it happened it was wonderful. My psychologist pal who started Dry January last year to give his liver a rest had always thought he slept really, really badly because he was so stressed at work. Turns out it was alcohol, and he's now living a happy compromise - he drinks very occasionally and only with friends by choice, and sleeps like a baby. (He loves B***s B**e so that's another person who may not post but has every reason to be grateful to this thread.) It's probably the single biggest life-changing revelation of stopping for long enough for quite a lot of people but it doesn't happen straight away. Good luck with it.

    3/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

I'm surprised how easily I've slipped back into having AF nights after the holiday. And I'm saying this not to be smug but to explain that it does get easier over time. I promise:). And the sense of achievement is great:D.

    2 AFDs please Shaggy.
