I managed tor resist last night so finished the month on 15/16. Close to my target, but not quite there. The month started off well but fell away towards the end.

I have a couple of weekends away planned in March so I'm going for a a target of 15 AF days.

Finishing her on 17 as I had a gslss of wine last night.

Pauline, I totally understand your 'like myself enough to treat myself well' comment. You are worth more than too much alcohol ans bad food gives you. I too am going through this process.
    Trying to keep in budget.

    I can identify with that.

I joined the thread originally as I had put on weight and hated myself for being fat! I knew I'd never manage to lose the weight and keep drinking the bottle+ a day that I was getting through. So, first, I controlled the alcohol intake then I moved on to healthier eating. Result, I lost all the excess weight and have felt so much better about myself ever since. Smug, moi??:D

Typical you to try and sell yourself short!!:rotfl:

I think that Alex meant his target was 25 which he smashed with 28 days AF.

Oddly enough it's getting on for five o'clock and I've become used to not drinking that I'm not even that bothered about it. Suppose it doesn't help that Mrs. K. and I fell out this morning.

Starting March on a positive 1/16. Target not that high this month as away, it's my birthday and have a couple of nights out planned. Don't want to make the target too high and not achieve it.

I would like to join for March please. I have a bad wine habit (erm, a bottle or more a day). I think it's time to do something about it, especially as OH has started a medication that means he can't drink at all. I've spent February listening regularly to some meditation/self-hypnosis tapes and now it's the next stage.

I have a 'budget' for the week (Fri-Thurs). This week it is 2 bottles of decent wine and a 2L wine box (not that bad). Once it's gone, it's gone. I had bottle 1 yesterday but actually stopped just before the end rather than opening bottle 2, which I would have done a couple of weeks ago. Tonight, it's 7.30pm and I haven't had anything. I think it will be my first AFD for a very long time.

I'm setting an AFD target that should be very achievable: 10 days of the 30 (how do you write that).

Hopefully in time it'll be a bigger target.

And now it is 8.43pm here in NSW - and I can declare 1/10 for March.

    Welcome kunekune :hello:

Congratulations on your 1st AFD & good luck on your target for March :T

10/30 sounds like a good place to start - my target is normally between 12-15 depending on what is happening during the month ;)

We'll done Alex - you have done amazingly well :j
