Declaring early with 20/20. Not going to fall at the final fence and not achieve my target.0

I've fallen at the final hurdle, 2 short of my target this month. Well done everyone who stayed the course. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

I think I'll join the March challenge. Id like to go for 20 AFDs although I think I'll manage more.
I have my drinking under control, I can safely say that. It was my birthday earlier in the month and my brother bought me wine, I didnt want to say to him dont get me any, drank it, enjoyed it and Ive had the occasional drink this month. I had one cocktail on a night out a few weeks ago and a few drinks last Sunday but more often than not, Im alcohol free, I drink becks blue or cobra zero, or sometimes just sparkling water.
January was mostly alcohol free and Ive had a few drinks in February but Ive notched up more alcohol free evenings than drinking ones.
I think I got to the point where I was feeling better in myself on a lot of levels in my life and I had run out of excuses as to why I needed alcohol to prop me up. I dont need it. I dont need it to go out and have a good time, I dont need it to be in the house and drink.
Ive also had food issues for a long time as well, but Im still losing and Im around 32 pounds down than I was this time last year.
If that all sounds easy, it maybe has been, but it took years of struggling to get to the stage where I liked myself enough not to use my body like a toxic waste dump, thats about the size of it.
I think I kidded myself on that I had nil willpower, when I actually do, the last few years have been pretty negative for me but things are picking up, its nice to be a lot more positive about things.0 -
That's 14/14 for me please Shaggy. Two more AFDs including Wednesday and a Friday night too.
Well done Alex and lots of other folks too!
I am pleased to have hit my target 3 months in a row. I haven't decided what to choose for my March target yet.
Sleep well everyone.0 -
A predictable 28/25.
2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
I would like to join for March please. I have a bad wine habit (erm, a bottle or more a day). I think it's time to do something about it, especially as OH has started a medication that means he can't drink at all. I've spent February listening regularly to some meditation/self-hypnosis tapes and now it's the next stage.
I have a 'budget' for the week (Fri-Thurs). This week it is 2 bottles of decent wine and a 2L wine box (not that bad). Once it's gone, it's gone. I had bottle 1 yesterday but actually stopped just before the end rather than opening bottle 2, which I would have done a couple of weeks ago. Tonight, it's 7.30pm and I haven't had anything. I think it will be my first AFD for a very long time.
I'm setting an AFD target that should be very achievable: 10 days of the 30 (how do you write that).
Hopefully in time it'll be a bigger target.
And now it is 8.43pm here in NSW - and I can declare 1/10 for March.0 -
I made my target last night, 20/20 yay!
I'm planning a beer or glass of wine this evening, have a great weekend all.0 -
18 is my total, please, Shaggy, ta Missed my target again, but there were some personal 'reasons' for it this month.
Anyway all that is behind me now :T and it is a beautiful, sunny, early spring day
So onwards and upwards
Have a lovely weekend everybody :)xx0
